Everyone in there had immaculate energy. They were so helpful and extremely kind to every customer I saw walk in. They patched my tire for me. Free of charge. I will definitely be going back.!
I had both mine and my wife's tires replaced here, along with the realignment package. First off, their time estimates are atrocious. When I had my tires replaced in August, they told me at 8am it would take about an hour and a half. I didn't check out until 11am, literally twice as long as their estimate. At least I didn't have issues with the installation or alignment, but their time estimate was just absurd. I came back for a rotation and re-alignment since I paid for the package. They told me 30-35 minutes at 10:30am. I wasn't leaving until after 1:30pm. I waited over 3 hours, 5-6x longer than their estimate. Apparently only a few techs can do alignment, so maybe the wait won't be so bad if you aren't getting the alignment. Both times I would've been fine with the wait, if they had given me a remotely accurate time estimate. I need to know what to expect. Just tell me up front it's going to take 2-3 hours, rather than telling me 30-35 minutes. If you are just dropping off your car, this shouldn't be a problem for you. For my wife's tires, we dropped off the car so I wouldn't have wait. We paid for the alignment package again. This time, they just didn't align the rear tires. In fact, in the before and after, one of the values was 0.1 degrees in the wrong direction. They technically made it a little worse. I don't know why they would've returned it since they could see it wasn't done properly. They offered to not charge for the alignment when I pointed it out, but I wanted them aligned and I knew they could do it correctly since they did mine right. I will just have to take it back so someone else can do it. Make sure you check their before and after values if you pay for the alignment. They make it easy on the paper they give you at checkout: green is good and red is bad. In the many hours spent waiting, I also saw them tell someone else they couldn't replace a single tire on an AWD vehicle because it was against the law. I understand it's not recommended, and the business can have a policy they don't do it, but why lie and say it's illegal? There is absolutely no law about it. That is just unprofessional. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the tires are fine, and the service could've been worse. But they seriously need to at least just double their initial time estimates, and do some better quality control. They told me they didn't know who did the alignment incorrectly, which is something that should absolutely be documented. At the very least so they can show the person how to correctly align it. If the business wants to respond to this review and ask how they can "make this right", I have already explained what to fix in this review. If you ask anyway, you clearly didn't read what I said.
I cannot recommend this location enough! If you are near them please use the Lexington location. Terrance Hines is the store manager and he is an absolute angel. We were stranded and nowhere had the size tire we needed. We had called EVERYWHERE. He went out of his way to find the tires we needed and help get them to us. We wouldn’t have been able to get back on the road without him and his amazing team at the Lexington location. This is the type of store manager any company would be proud to have! Thanks again to the wonderful team at Lexington Big O Tires and Terrance! May God bless you all.
I dropped my truck off thinking I may have a leak in my radiator. They called me and said they had found a leak and needed to replace the radiator. They quoted me a price for labor and a new radiator for $980.00. I told them I would need to think about it. When I picked my my truck up they showed me the area that was leaking. I drove the truck home and indeed it ran hot. I put some antifreeze in and retightened the radiator cap. Guess what? No more leaks. I would have thought a highly trained mechanic would have caught that. Will never do business there again as they made a knowing effort to rip me off foe almost a thousand bucks. Stephen Holt
Visiting from out of town for the weekend. I had 2 nails in a tire and unable to be fixed. Made an appointment at 9 however went in as a walk in at open. Terrance was great. Very welcoming and accommodating. I did have my dog with me as well. We were able to wait in the waiting area. Sophie was able to also able to give some “dog therapy” to the guys working in the garage. I was in and out within an hour. And able to hit the road back home to Knoxville TN.
