I’ve been going to this shop for years, and I can confidently say it’s the only place I trust for my tattoos. The environment is always welcoming, clean, and comfortable. You can feel the pride and professionalism as soon as you walk in. The owner did my memorial sleeve for my mom, and it’s some of the most meaningful and beautiful work I’ve ever seen. The amount of care, detail, and talent that went into it meant everything to me. Every tattoo I’ve gotten here has been flawless, and the whole team consistently goes above and beyond. If you’re looking for amazing artwork, a great atmosphere, and artists who genuinely care about their clients, this is the shop you want. I can’t recommend them enough!
i have been coming to black hive for my tattoos for about 10 years. nick is the artist i see and i have always had an amazing experience (hence the being a customer for 10 years thing) i truly love my tattoos and i receive a lot of compliments and questions about my artist when i am out. i would (and do) recommend the shop & i suggest a consultation with the artists to find your perfect fit. why the shop: so much talent like for real, also it's so freakin clean, very cute inside, everyone seems to genuinely get along, everyone seems very supoortive of eachother in and out of the shop. i also love how the shop participates in some local things too like art shows or conventions etc. why nick: i love everyone in the shop they are amazing but i see nick because i like his tattoo style. i like weird stuff like nameless creatures from beyond and guts and science fiction. i have come to him with with zero plan and zero art talent, all dreamy vision, and he really takes time to make it a reality. i have always felt like i could say what i really thought about the design without any issues, but transparently i have pretty much loved every design. then of course personality wise it works out, i find him to be direct and professional but still fun and goofy which is perfect for me. price: black hive artists charge reasonably imo, you pay for quality. you pay for that relationship with someone who actually cares about you. my tattoos from 10 years ago still look amazing and only half of that is because of tattoo care.

Went to talk about getting a coverup for some ancient ink, Nick was right on the money and excited and professional. It took me a year to decide on an artist, Black Hive employs the best artists in town. If you get a tattoo somewhere else, its just not the same.
Can’t thank Matt Moore enough for just being him. Not only is he a good friend of mine but he’s one of the most creative and artistically inclined people I know. It’s been so easy and fun to bring my concepts to him and allow him to work and do his magic. Truly a gifted wizard. Couldn’t recommend him enough ❤️ Also, this is by far the nicest tattoo shop I’ve ever been too. Very comfortable setting where each artist has their own personal room where clients can have privacy during sessions. Matt has a TV on the wall in his room as well and it’s always nice being able to watch a movie or show while I get work done. The rest of the staff is great too! Extremely kind people all around. Love this place.
