Blissful Monkey is a fun and supportive studio, really different in vibe and spirit than any other I've been to. It's a community. Terri especially is an exceptional teacher who makes yoga light and enjoyable, and supports people at all levels. The little studio is pretty and inviting. Mats are free to borrow, and as a result people clean them well, unlike the corporate chain place I've also been going to. Here's to the Blissful!
I loved that the class was small, intimate, and personable. The instructor Tiffany Hogan demonstrated a strong knowledge of the yoga positions we needed to learn, and I appreciated how she moved slowly enough for me, as a new beginner, to keep up with all of the poses. The atmosphere was welcoming and very relaxing. I also loved that the owner came up and introduced himself to the group — it made the experience feel even more warm and personal.
Lynne’s Healing Yoga series was a terrific experience. After the 2nd class I really good, both physically and mentally; I felt ageless and empowered. By the last class I noticed that I was walking faster and with more confidence. I believe it was the stretching that challenged my 66 year old body and mind and made me realize I can do much more with both than I had previously attempted. I am hoping this series will be offered again, I’m looking forward to advancing even more!
If you need to get out of your head / clear your mind, take Terri's Vinyasa Flow class! She is a fantastic instructor! She has so much energy and makes the class a whirlwind of movement and fun—there is absolutely no time to think about anything because all you're focused on is her upbeat voice, the music, and the yoga poses. It feels like two hours rolled up into one hahahaha. She fosters such a strong, encouraging community of "go at your own pace, but try to challenge yourself." I am definitely going back for another visit!
Terri is by far the best yoga instructor I've ever had. Great with accommodations and pacing and giving us challenges while also being gentle in her recommendations. She makes the space welcoming and comfortable. She's also the only Instructor to have ever helped me stretch out my hamstrings with much. It's also affordable for the price and quality of the lessons.
