As I renter through Block Real Estate I can honestly say that they are easily one of the best Real Estate Agencies I have experienced. I cannot recommend them enough. Tim Mardiyants, is professional, responsive, helpful, reasonable & kind. He has offered support & advice in the context of renting, even though I am no longer renting through Block Real Estate. Throughout my tenancy, issues I raised were dealt with promptly and professionally. There were never any attempts to force costs that a landlord is responsible for onto a tenant, nor any bullying or intimidation tactics that play on the lack of understanding many renters have about their rights and responsibilities (as I’ve experienced & often seen done to others at the hands of many of the ‘bigger’ agencies). I was always treated with respect and integrity. Moving in and out was seamless and easy. Getting information about the property and assistance throughout the tenancy was simple, and any feedback relating to the property was openly provided (e.g. best products to use to clean certain areas, items or providers to engage for yard work / cleaning). Support was provided for the process of maintaining the property and moving out including recommending their endorsed cleaners, gardeners, removalists etc. It’s obvious that Block Real Estate is comprised of people with strong values, ethics and morals. They represent both the landlords and the tenants best interests, they’re open and honest and it shows. I would gladly rent, buy, sell, or lease a property through Block Real Estate with confidence & the security of knowing their core values as a business align with the way I would like to be treated as a person or a customer. I cannot thank Tim and Block Real Estate enough for the positive and easy experience they gave me as a renter. Thank you!

I recently purchased a property through Tim Mardiyants at Block and wanted to share my experience from a first home buyer’s perspective. My initial interaction with Tim was pleasant—he was responsive and arranged a private inspection, which quickly progressed to an offer being made and accepted by the seller. However, one significant issue arose with the property: the reverse-cycle A/C unit showed clear signs of concern during the inspection. Later, during the pre-exchange inspection, a professional assessed the unit and confirmed it was a serious issue requiring costly repairs. When I informed Tim that the seller and I were actively negotiating based on this, he responded quite defensively. He questioned the validity of the professional quote—even after I explained I had two matching quotes from reputable trades. During this period—while the 10% deposit was already held and both parties were still in negotiation—Tim made the surprising decision to re-list the property on the market. This was extremely disappointing and added unnecessary stress to an already tense situation. Unfortunately, Tim’s tone throughout this time became increasingly aggressive. He phoned me multiple times, spoke rudely, and questioned my understanding, which I found completely unprofessional. Honestly, if I hadn’t been so emotionally attached to the property, I would have walked away. Due to the repeated tension, I limited my communication with Tim as much as possible. Thankfully, the seller was understanding, cooperative, and respectful throughout, and we were able to reach a fair resolution. If you’re considering working with Tim—whether buying or selling—I’d strongly suggest going in well-prepared and aware that communication may be difficult.

I spoke with Trish initially and we got the ball rolling on selling my house very quickly (which is what I needed). Trish knows her stuff and I was very comfortable with her from the get go! I met Tim later during an open house and he was professional, also realistic and easy to work with! Highly recommend for anyone buying or selling a house in Canberra ^_^

I have rented through Block Real Estate for close to a year. Tim is highly professional to deal with right from the beginning and very easy to get ahold off which is quite rare as a tenant in residential property management. He conducts his business with high integrity and does his absolute best. I have had no problems over the course of my tenancy. I am absolutely happy with the service and could not recommend him enough

You will immediately notice the difference from the moment you reach out to Block Real Estate. Their senior team brings a level of intelligent, genuine care and professionalism that, in my experience, is vacant from the sector. Tim has been managing our property for the past 12 months and has done an incredible job. All maintenance issues have been address same day and he is always available. He has a solid understanding of rental legislation that I've not experienced from other property managers. I held a pretty low opinion of real estate agents before working with Tim. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Block Real Estate isn't just doing things differently. They're doing it better.
