Boise Depot es un hito de estilo español ubicado sobre Boise, que abrió sus puertas en 1925 gracias a Union Pacific. Este sitio histórico restaurado funciona como museo y espacio para eventos, enmarcado por los Jardines Platt. The Boise Depot, opened in 1925 by Union Pacific, is a Spanish-style landmark with a tall bell tower overlooking the city. Once a busy train station, it’s now a restored historic site and event space surrounded by Platt Gardens.
The Boise Depot hit me in a strangely cinematic way, like I’d wandered onto the set of a movie I’m not cool enough to star in. That tower pops out of nowhere—one minute you're just walking up a regular hill, the next you’re staring at this white-and-terracotta time capsule flexing like it knows it’s gorgeous. I ended up leaning against a rail, watching the fountain do its overly dramatic choreography while a kid nearby tried to feed a squirrel a Cheez-It (the squirrel was absolutely into it). The view over downtown felt like Boise was taking a deep breath and showing off a little, which honestly it deserves. A couple was taking engagement photos and the photographer kept yelling “YES, YES, MORE CHIN,” which made zero sense but added to the vibe. I wandered around the gardens, got lost in my own thoughts, and for a minute felt like life had a reset button hidden in the Spanish Revival tiles. The Depot isn’t just a building—it’s a mood booster disguised as architecture.

From the grand indoor hall to the gardens and city overlook outside, every corner offers something unique—whether it’s quiet, intimate moments or more editorial, dramatic portraits. The Depot carries a sense of history and meaning that naturally enhances each story told there. It’s a place that photographs beautifully year-round and never loses its charm.
