I had my first tattoo done by Rachel before Christmas and I’ve been meaning to leave my review… honestly, she was incredible. From the prep and what to expect beforehand to the moment I walked in, she made me feel calm and comfortable - she has this lovely grounded energy that ousts you at ease. She took time to listen to my ideas then created something even more beautiful than I’d imagined. The lines are so fine and precise, and the detail is stunning. The whole experience felt calm, professional, and surprisingly peaceful - even the moments I was nervous about. I waked out not just with a beautiful piece of art, but with a real sense of doing something for myself. Thank you Rachel - you made it feel special from start to finish
The best place in Liverpool to get tattooed. Offers a range of artists boasting different styles so you’re sure to find something you like. Everyone is super friendly so you’ll be put at ease from the off. Can’t recommend this place enough, Rachel and Nick have curated the most perfect studio.

From the moment I walked into the studio, everything was perfect — a beautiful place, the light, the colors, the tattoo designs and prints on the walls, the layout of each artist’s space, the cleanliness, the sanitary preparation protocol before the tattoo, the music — as I said, everything was absolutely perfect for me. I 100% recommend (and even more!) visiting Bold as Brass for a tattoo in Liverpool. It’s been the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had! Now, the full story. I came to Liverpool on vacation from Chile, and the experience at Bold as Brass was the absolute highlight of the trip — it takes first place and wins all the awards. First, because Liverpool is everything I love, and second, because the studio owners, Nick and Rachel, are incredibly kind and friendly people (and no doubt the whole team is too). I had contacted Rachel to book an appointment during our trip, but unfortunately our schedules didn’t align. While exploring the city with my partner, we stopped by the studio to check it out, and we decided to ask if anyone had availability — that’s how we met Nick. We chose one of his flash tattoos and came back a couple of hours later as agreed. From that moment on, everything flowed — we got tattooed and created an unforgettable memory of our trip. Thank you, Nick!!!
we met Rachel (shop owner) on tour in the UK last year and instantly fell in love with her and her artwork! We were so excited to make it to the shop today to get some fun tour tattoos! It was such a great experience and we’ll be coming back every time we are back in town!!!! She is such a delight to hang out with while getting tattooed, and she has the best flash ever to choose from, and of course can do any custom work! All of the other artists had amazing work as well! :)
