We don't live in the area, but I did a little research and decided this was the spot my daughter and I should go while visiting. Gooooood choice on our end! Great selection, nice set up, calm feel.
This is a nonprofit, independent bookstore, and I’m so glad to have stumbled upon it! I took a day trip to explore Winston-Salem and not much was open on Labor Day, but we hit the jackpot when this bookstore and the attached coffee shop were both open. This is one of the neatest bookstores I have ever visited, and my friend who happens to be a teacher felt the same way. This store is, without reservation, one of the best bookstores I've ever visited. They cater to local clientele and are widely engaged in community literacy initiatives. Many books have short statements attached to the shelf below them explaining why various readers have found them to be so enjoyable. A visit to this store is a must for anyone with a strong passion for reading.
