I've needed to get a new pair of shoes as my old ones are starting to show signs of wear. I'll be keeping my current pairs as backup while using new ones to climb with. After some searching we discovered that Boulderz in Etobicoke have a much wider selection of shoes. We went there to check it out and were extremely surprised by the range of choices. A lovely person named Al helped me. Her wealth of both knowledge and experience is extremely appreciated. She was very patient and attentive while bringing out several choice of shoes to try. In different sizes as well if needed. She is very familiar with the shoes as she has tried and worn a number of them herself. I must've been there over an hour trying out various shoes in different ranges of levels. She also provided with tips on how to both put on and take off shoes. Particularly the more aggressive ones. I will be using that method of putting and taking off my shoes from now on. She was amazing. Can't recommend her and the gym itself enough. We stayed for the day and enjoyed all the different climbing disciplines being offered for folks to do. Thanks Al for all your help!!
I took my 3 year old there to try out climbing and wasn't expecting much but boy, was I pleasantly surprised. There's a whole section for kids. She had so much fun exploring the different walls. The venue is big and doesn't feel crowded. Also very cool to see the advanced climbers bouldering. Great for all skill levels.
Great climbing area spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Loved the variety of routes with different difficulty levels, offering something for everyone from beginners to advanced climbers. Highly recommended for a fun and challenging experience!
I’ve been coming to this gym for a few years now and absolutely love it. I love the membership options they have, especially the gold one that lets you bring a new guest per visit. The space is large & although it gets busy there is always a wall to climb and an area that’s available. The gym has decent equipment and they have a variety of different holds to practice on. The staff at the front is more than often very friendly and kind! I highly recommend this gym and their membership if you see yourself coming here a few times a month. They even have a whole area dedicated towards children and do birthday parties. If you’d like to save yourself a bit of time, complete the waiver online. Definitely worth a visit!
First time here. New to rock climbing. Great first time experience. Staff member Will was great with helping us out and giving us the introduction/how to start on the auto-balay. I thought it was fairly price. Also willing to deduct $25 day pass (shoe/harness rental 8 included) off $45 two week promotions. If you decided to come back within those two weeks. Definitely would come back. Also had on site rock climbing shop for any gear you need to get started.
