My daughter has been taking the hip hop class here for several months and it's been a really fun experience for her. Sug is a great instructor and he really connects with the students and motivates them to be not just good dancers, but good humans, too. My daughter's dance skills and confidence have grown so much since she started his class, and she's made a lot of friends. Highly recommend for all ages and dance levels!

Break Free is a great dance studio with impressive curriculum, teaching their students the importance of Hip - Hop dance foundation. I have competed in their open styles battle and enjoyed myself. I've also been there to session, enjoy ciphers, and spectate during the battle; it's always an enjoyable time at Break Free! This is a very encouraging space for any dancer at any level.

What an amazing and caring and loving team. They are always giving back to the community and always working with children to motivate them to become something great, through dancing. As a child dancing saved my life. I danced from the age of 6 years old until now. This dance studio is amazing and they're always trying to thrive and find new ways to reach out to their community to make a difference. I believe in my heart they thrive to change people's lives through dancing instilling hope in young children and younger generations to come and older generations. It's a very good and loving and peaceful vibe. I promise you, you will not regret taking a class.

New to Kansas City I stumbled across this school while looking for ballet classes. The first class my daughter came home with 3 tricks and I could tell she got a great work out and was being challenged! It's been almost two months and she is consistently learning new moves and being challenged. After 6 weeks I was amazed at her skills and looking forward to what is coming next!! The instructors and staff are all very professional and this school is definitely a community!! The students have all been very welcoming to my child and we have felt welcome from the first day! This is definitely a great opportunity and fun, fun, fun!!! A++++++ I definitely recommend!!!!

Break Free is the efforts of James SugEasy Singleton. This is a hip hop dance school for children and adults. In addition to the school, services offered through this and Translation in Movement are performances, choreography, DJ school, emceeing, mural work, beat boxing, and more. James is a very energetic entrepreneur looking to partner with community members and performers to bring a forward-moving edge to the area. I really like working with him and find him to be very responsive.
