Brides for a Cause was such a special experience. I tried on around 20 dresses, and the one I chose was truly unique. The process was completely pressure-free and felt meaningful knowing the mission behind the shop. I would absolutely recommend them to other brides.
I love the concept of this shop! I was so excited to be able to get my wedding dress at an affordable price. The only reason it wasn't a 5 star experience was because the whole thing felt really rushed. An hour isn't a long time to figure out your size, then your style preferences, get feedback, and make decisions. I had already tried on dresses once before at a different shop so knew kind of what I was looking for and it still felt really rushed to me. I wish there was an option for a longer appointment slot. Otherwise, I did find my dress and am super excited about it! But only because I already knew what I was going for.
I started my wedding dress shopping journey at Brides for a Cause and I would recommend that to any other friend. Drew was simply amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable, low pressure, and oh so helpful. She really helped me to understand the sizing on wedding dresses and options available to me when it came to alterations. I loved the ability to wonder around and pick the dresses I wanted to try on. Drew also asked for an inspiration photo and she picked out some dresses she recommended to start with, which was incredibly helpful. I had an appointment on a Thursday afternoon and we had the shop to ourselves which was amazing. Although I didn't find my dream dress, I had some really good contenders at very reasonable prices that i seriously considered. I also appreciated the ability to try on different styles and silhouettes so I could narrow down what I really wanted.
While I didn’t find my wedding dress at Brides for a Cause, I had so much fun looking for dresses and trying them on! As a plus size girl I was nervous they wouldn’t even have anything in my size for me to try on. I was pleasantly surprised at the range of sizes available! They had so many styles available, everything is very well organized, and their prices are unbeatable. I found several beautiful dresses that fit me, but none of them were my dress. If you’re a bride on a budget (or just looking to spread your budget further) you owe it to yourself to visit Brides for a Cause!
I drove all the way from the bay area to go to this shop and it was totally worth it! I am SO happy that this place exists - they make budget and eco friendly wedding dress choices so much more accessible. The set up is very relaxed, but supportive (i.e., you don't get assigned a stylist, but employees are floating around to help out when needed). They have really beautiful dresses, in a range of styles at very affordable prices. While I didn't get my wedding dress at this store, my "second runner up" was from here, and it was a drop dead gorgeous beaded dress, that originally cost in the $4k range, but was being sold for $600 (with seemingly no issues). I can't recommend this place enough for people on a budget, who still want a classic wedding dress for their day.
