I called Bruttell because I like smaller companies, I generally find them more responsive. Unfortunately, this is not the case with this company. I discovered a leak in our chimney flashing was leaking into our attic and bedroom. They came out and recaulked it. It rained the very next day and was still leaking the same amount. I asked them to quote to rip out and redo the chimney pan. I then hired them to do the work and paid in full. The work was satisfactory except the shingles don't match. And I am in a historic district where they care about that kind of thing. Now they are sending me invoices for the failed caulking job. I have never experienced the expectation to pay for work that didn't last a day. Especially when I then hired them to do it properly. Petty and disappointing. Also, I had previously called their flat roof department many times about coming out to get estimates for other work and no one would get back to me. Not the type of responsiveness I would expect from such a small company. Seemingly not much emphasis on customer satisfaction.
Bruttell roofing did a great job! Adam, one of the supervisors, came out with sample colors (didn’t know there were so many different colors). He was very professional, very friendly. Gave me approx. date when roof would be installed, called 2 days before installment. Crew was here at 7:30am, very professional. Except for lunch & a short afternoon break, they worked non-stop on a very warm day. Mild rain started about 5:30-6pm but they kept working, job complete by 8pm. Excellent clean-up as well. Adam came back today to inspect plus had a metal detector looking for any nails (found 4). Made sure I was happy with job. Highly recommend them!!
Bruttell Roofing did an amazing job on the roof. They were efficient and professional. Matt was great to work with as he helped me through the process and the crew that came out definitely had it all together. I had a few questions once the roof was completed and Coty came out to walk me through everything as well. Again, very professional and he even checked the roof inside and out to make sure everything was done properly. I would highly recommend using Bruttell Roofing in the future.
Our experience with Bruttell Roofing was seamless. Matt Smith and Josh Craig were accessible, informative and a pleasure to work with. The new roof looks great and was done in two days. They took care with our landscaping and made sure to clean up the debris around our home.
If I could give this company -100 stars I would. They broke many fire laws and did not care if they dropped shingles on your head. (No spotters on the ground.) I do not recommend them. There are plenty of good roofers -- you don't have to use this company. The people doing the work couldn't speak English and "the foreman" couldn't either and was extremely rude. It took them a week to put a new roof on. Please note: The gas can was right next to a machine that was running and steps away from the entrance of the building. They were low bid "brutal" risky roofers. They just don't care. My contractor friend said to call the fire marshall because they didn't care if they blocked entrances/exits or kept gasoline next to a running machine. I'm sure they didn't care if they dropped shingles on a person.
