Saturday night dinner + drinks. Loaded fries dead. Beef tacos mediocre at best, chicken enchiladas pretty good. tortilla chips with salsa being the best of a bad bunch. Service was good, nice guy poor evening??

My first attempt at Mexican food was an absolute delight! Plenty cocktails were equally worth trying. The beef short rib taco and glazed corn ribs were my favorites from the menu. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, with a quiet ambiance and pleasant music. The staff was attentive and friendly, and I received excellent service from Magda. I highly recommend this place!

Had a really great dinner with friends. Cocktails were great I really enjoyed the Grilled Pineapple Margarita - it went great with the delicious tortilla chips, pico de gallo & guacamole. Loved my tempura fish tacos and friends enjoyed their beef tacos and enchiladas. Great churros too! Fresh food with great flavours and friendly service. Will definitely return!

My wife and I dined here recently. We hadn’t had Mexican food in a while and were keen to give this place a try. The restaurant itself is modern with attractive décor, and the menu is a good size, featuring classics like tacos, burritos and enchiladas. However, despite the restaurant’s claim of authenticity, the menu didn’t feel particularly traditional. You can find similar dishes at most Mexican spots in Edinburgh. While some of the taco fillings were unique, I would have liked to see a few more genuinely traditional dishes. It’s hard to believe Mexicans only eat tacos, enchiladas and burritos. We ordered a selection of dishes to get a feel for the place. On the recommendation of our lovely and friendly waitress, we tried the corn ribs and pork belly chicharrones to start. I’m not a huge sweetcorn fan, but the corn ribs were excellent—one of the few items I haven’t seen elsewhere. The pork belly was decent, though some pieces were overcooked. For mains, we went for the beef burrito, the Veracruz (tempura haddock) and Vempiro (flat iron steak) tacos, and the pulled short rib loaded fries. The burrito was disappointing; the presentation and texture were good, but the flavour was quite flat. The tacos were much more enjoyable, with interesting flavours and a good level of heat—perhaps too much heat for my wife. Even the loaded fries were surprisingly peppery, though still tasty. For dessert, we ordered the churros and sticky toffee pudding, which were easily the highlights of the evening. The churros were some of the best I’ve ever had, and the sticky toffee pudding was also excellent. One small note: my wife didn’t enjoy her Disaronno and Diet Coke, saying it tasted noticeably different to what she’s used to. Overall, the service was great, we felt comfortable, and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was good, but nothing particularly blew us away—apart from the desserts. Our biggest criticism is the value for money. £14 for two relatively small tacos, £15.50 for a burrito, £10 for a few pork belly bites—it all felt quite steep. Surprisingly, the loaded fries were cheaper at £10 and were a generous portion. Desserts were also on the expensive side. Our total came to over £120 for the dishes mentioned plus three drinks, which feels excessive. Thankfully, we had booked through First Table, so the food bill was halved (after reminding them), which softened the blow. Without that discount, we would have left feeling quite overcharged.

We booked ahead of time and were seated straight away. Really wonderful staff, service, and food! The food was probably the best Mexican we’ve ever had. My husband even accidentally knocked over his drink (all over me 🥲), and they gave him a full refill at no extra charge. Very kind. Great end to our weekend in Edinburgh. Couldn’t recommend enough.
