This company and crew did wonders for me in short turnaround! Booking was easy, contact quickly made, January winter weather headaches accommodated, billing, customer service etc all easy, professional and chill. But the real stars in my show here were Ty and Kurubei!! Not just professional and polite but fast, efficient and so lovely (and non judgmental about condition of the move which was not great tbh - very empathetic). Absolute gems - the types of guys any employer in any industry would poach, these fellas made my day a thousand times better just talking with them while they hauled - absolute gems. Thanks so much!
Price is fair, not the lowest but the quality of service is more than worth it. They were quick, efficient, friendly and professional. I made them move in the winter and they did so happily and with no complaints. Kurubel and the other worker’s name is escaping me but they both did great work. I will be using their services again when I move again.
10 out of 10 – Absolute perfection. Early December my mother and I hired Calculated Moving to move furniture from Île des Chênes, Manitoba, to downtown Winnipeg, and I cannot express enough how incredible the experience was. The two movers were absolutely spectacular. Not only were they discreet, but they were also kind, courteous, and open to conversation, which really helped alleviate the stress of moving. They clearly understand that moving can be one of the most anxiety-inducing experiences, and they handled everything with patience and professionalism. These young gentlemen worked quickly and efficiently while still taking the time to offer thoughtful recommendations to my mother, making sure she felt secure that her high-value property would be moved with care and consideration. What made this experience even more meaningful was that the movers were part of my own culture and community. In a world where people can be judged for their appearance—tattoos, piercings, and so on—it was refreshing to see their character and professionalism shine through. They represented our community with pride and respect, and that meant a lot to me. I will absolutely be recommending this company to others and will be using them again for any future moves. EDIT: Evan reached out and apologized for the circumstances of the move, and offered us compensation for the delays/issues with our move. While it still wasn't the best moving process, I am impressed with the way they do business and do right by their customers, and can now say that I would recommend them to friends and family, and would likely give them another chance. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We had a good, not great, move with Calculated. We hired them based on the tremendous amount of great Google reviews that they had. They were very pleasant to deal with, and largely efficient. We were moving from an apartment into a house, and the estimate ended up being quite low, which was disappointing (about a $700 difference). We think they underestimated the amount of stuff we had to move, despite our emphasis that this was more of a 2 bedroom house than a 2 bedroom apartment. They successfully transported all of our stuff safely (that we can tell so far; we are still unpacking), but didn’t have room for a scheduled second pick up, which led to us having to pick that up ourselves (they unloaded it, so credit to them for that). They also didn’t wrap our mattresses, which caused them to be dirty. The move took about 11 hours (including a lunch break for the guys). We had three movers; noted two of the movers were very efficient and fast, while we weren’t impressed with one of them in terms of speed or efficiency, which no doubt added significant to the cost. Everyone was pleasant to deal with. Overall, they were an adequate moving company, but we weren’t blown away to the level we expected based on these reviews.
This was the first time I'd hired movers, and I would absolutely hire these guys again in a heartbeat!! Both movers were incredibly efficient, very careful, and super kind. It was legitimately one of the coldest days of the year when they had to move me (alas), but they didn't even seem bothered by it and tried to make sure I was warm and looked after. Andrii checked in with me regularly throughout the process, and also gave me some recommendations about where to purchase some additional needed items following my move. They were just super lovely and hard working men who I would recommend hiring to anyone who needs help moving in the future! Thank you for making my move so much easier and less stressful!
