I’m writing this review due to an unfortunate and upsetting incident that occurred today while shopping for skate helmets for my children. We were in the process of trying on different helmets and were still deciding when an employee suddenly approached us, took a helmet we were actively considering, put it back on the rack, and told us to put the helmets away once we were finished. The problem is—we were not finished. We had only been trying on helmets for about 5–10 minutes, which is completely reasonable when purchasing safety equipment for children. The employee’s behavior was unnecessary, rude, and unprofessional. There was no clear reason for his actions, and it made us feel uncomfortable and singled out. As a customer, I found this treatment unacceptable, and frankly, it felt discriminatory. I did end up purchasing the helmets and filed a complaint, but this situation should never have happened in the first place. The store clearly needs to better educate and train its employees on basic customer service, respect, and appropriate conduct. Incidents like this should not be tolerated.
It is one of the biggest Canadian Tire outlets near downtown Montreal. They have a wide range of items and what they offer for camping equipment is one level above the other places. The only issue us that it seems they are short with staff as I was waiting for a few minutes near the luggage section and found no one to ask a question about a product I needed.
Passed by this store many times and was never fully sure what it was until I needed an AC and realized it had everything for the home. The "tire " part is misleading, though I'm sure they do have stuff for the car as well. Some staff was very helpful, others were like teens who didn't want to be bothered. Great prices! And I found everything I needed.
I have bought an unreasonable amount of plants at this store and I can say it is one of my favourite spots in Montreal. The employees truly care about the plants and helping customers. The prices are pretty good and they have a pretty good variety! They also have little birds in the greenhouse and they also seem to really care about their well-being and health. I was looking for one of my wishlist plants (philodendron congo rojo) and they were the only store to have it! I have had a good experience with the rest of the store and the employees as well :)
This branch of Canadian tire has a huge varieties of everything! I loved their organization and cleanliness. They have actually liquidation items on many things! The employes was friendly and helpful. Their self service cash is so much better than other branches 👌🏻 Recommended
