We took in our training in Kelowna in the "Polite Puppies Training." Ruby, my golden retriever started the program at 16 weeks old. While Ruby is not my first puppy, this was the first time I have ever taken training courses for my puppy and highly recommend. Kirsten was informative, was able to give suggestions and recommendations for poor habits that my puppy was already starting to develop and taught both Ruby and myself tips that will assist in my goal to raise Ruby to be the dog that I can take anywhere that accepts dogs. By week five Ruby was already recognizing the term "let's go to puppy school" and would get excited to get in the car and tail wagging as soon as she saw we had arrived to head into class so she enjoyed it very much. We are looking forward to taking in the next training course to help take her skills to the next level.

Kirsten is amazing! We were having problems with our adolescent puppy pulling on lead and with Kirsten's help we have managed to make walking the dog really enjoyable for all of us. Moreover, she is so adept at understanding canine behaviour that she was able to tailor our training to match the personality of our dog and provide exercises and games to keep her busy and happy. We have recently started scent training with Kirsten and our dog is absolutely loving it!

When I enrolled my husky in Kirsten’s puppy socialization classes, I was immediately impressed with the way she was able to connect with him. Frankly, it was uncanny. We had some issues with separation anxiety and her guidance with this was invaluable and saved us many sleepless nights. As he got older and stronger, leash pulling became an issue, so I took him to Kirsten to get him (and me) trained in “loose leash walking.” The improvement has been dramatic and made our dog walks much more enjoyable. What I love best about Kirsten is the way she gets to know each dog, appreciates them for who they are, and trains them with positive reinforcement which is then geared to their individual strengths and weaknesses. I have learned so much from her. In addition to her training skills, she is tremendously knowledgeable and has a long history of study and experience. She created such a calm, positive environment that even our nervous rescue quickly became excited to learn.
