Excellent place to visit if you love tacos & tostadas. We had the beef quesabirria & trout ceviche tostadas, both of which tasted absolutely amazing. Both very flavourful & lovely authentic Mexican flavours.
The food here is generally quite good. The pickled eggs for instance, were excellent. An excellent way to get the appetite going (though be warned: the accompanying sauce is spicy). The tacos I was less impressed by. I loved the greens and freshness on the ceviche tostada, but could taste that the trout was ‘t super fresh. The birria tacos was good: the consume excellent. I found it rather heavy for my taste though. The pickled onions and carrots were a lovely treat at the end.
We arrived without a booking on a clearly busy evening. After being seated quickly, it was suggested we order the ‘meat taco time sharing feast’. I ordered a ‘bottle’ of the house white, and we duly awaited our food. Thirty-five minutes passed before we were presented with the combination platter. All in all, the food was delicious, albeit slow to arrive. The corn tacos were tasty; however, they arrived with crisped edges akin to an autumn leaf. Additional orders of tacos were included in the price; however, we were not inspired to make use of said generosity. Boxed wine was served by the glass at an inexorbitant markup; however, masquerading ‘bottle’ prices disappoint those hoping to enjoy any leftovers. Despite a subpar food and wine experience, service was pragmatic yet friendly. 4/10 overall.
Been here a few times now. I travel up from Torquay just to eat here. Ceviche Tostada and Hibiscus Margherita are my favourites but its all so so good. Thank you again. Daughters reaction to her first taco was priceless. 👌🏾
Just behind M She'd and nicely guarded from those horrible diving seagulls. Bar staff very friendly and full of recommended local drinks. On hot days, chilled water is served as soon as you are seated. Nice.
