As a photographer, I absolutely loved working with Cate. She is incredibly friendly and did an amazing job with hair and makeup, everything photographed beautifully, looked natural, and lasted all day. She brought such a calm, positive energy to the getting ready space and truly added to the overall experience. I also really appreciated how inclusive she is and how effortlessly she put everyone at ease, from vendors to the wedding party. I would happily work with her again and highly recommend her!
My wife and I were so excited that Cate was available for our last minute elopement! We could not be more grateful for the care and attention that Cate delivered. They listened to what each of us wanted and was able to deliver above and beyond our expectations. As a masculine presenting person, I felt that Cate had a great eye for using make-up to make me feel more confident without making me feel uncomfortable. My wife who is more feminine presenting was unsure of what exactly she wanted for her wedding make-up/hair but Cate was able to break down exactly what was needed and helped my wife throughout the whole the process. We are so grateful to have worked with Cate and even in the short time we spent in their chair, we felt like we could be great friends! Cate was highly recommended by our elopement photographers and we absolutely see why! My wife and I eloped in Crested Butte, CO in July 2025. We were seeking a makeup artist and hair stylist who could enhance our natural features and was supportive of our queer marriage. Cate was not only the perfect fit but felt like a friend of ours by the end of it. Eloping without family or friends was our choice and having someone like Cate who was so kind, fun and talented was such a dream. We both opted for clip in extensions and we both had zero regrets. Cate matched our blonde (one natural and one dyed) to a tee without ever having a trial or meeting in person. As for our makeup, I was incredibly happy. As a neutral to cool-toned skin type with a spray tan added into the mix, Cate effortlessly found the right shade for spray on makeup and found my new favorite lip combo I’ve been repeating ever since! Although she doesn’t often recommend spray makeup in dry AF Colorado, I knew from previous experience and dislike of powder texture this would be best for me and honestly I’d still recommend it along with seriously hydrating skincare prep leading up to the day. My wife did a half up twist and it was the most gorgeous hair style I could have imagined. I opted for a simple curled hair-down style but you could see Cate’s experience in how efficiently she dealt with our hair. 100% recommend Cate — no question at all. She even stayed awhile after to help put on our vails, fluff our hair for fake ‘getting ready’ pics and make sure we felt good before she left. Thank you Cate! You’re amazing at what you do.
Gosh, I LOVE working with Cate! I first booked a hair and make up session with her for an event a few years ago. I loved how my hair and make up turned out, so I choose her to do my hair and make up for my engagement shoot! Once again, I am so happy with her work! I know very little about hair and make up and didn’t really have a vision. I was able to show her a few (very different) inspo photos and she was able to do a style what worked with my vibes and outfit! 100000/10 recommend Wordsworth Cate!
