So I DJ’d a Christmas party in the diamond room last night. I had never played at this venue before and let me tell you…. The place is elegant. The bathrooms were clean and the staff was friendly, professional and they worked their butts off. If you happen to get Kathy as your server you’re blessed! I would highly recommend this venue to any who books Summit City Dj’s and hasn’t selected a venue yet. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We looked at many venues for our wedding. Right from the beginning, Susan, knocked it out of the park with her knowledge and experience in the wedding industry; it was then that we knew we had to go with Cerutis. We also got to meet Joe the owner who had a lot of great points and questions to consider. Some of our favorite things with the brand new bridal suite. They did a floor plan that had never been done before in the summit room and it turned out absolutely perfect. We had the opportunity to widen the dance floor because they had the space to do so. We also were able to have a lot of space in between each 8 top table so guest could get through without bumping into the chairs. If you’re looking for a venue that has top notch food- amazing staff & great location. This is the place.
I really wanted to love this venue, but unfortunately, our wedding day experience was far from what was promised or expected. First, the air conditioning situation was absolutely unacceptable. It was nearly 100° outside with the heat index, and despite repeatedly asking staff to lower the temperature, nothing ever changed. As the bride, I was drenched in sweat in my wedding dress — a dress I’d been dreaming about wearing all day — and I ended up having to change out of it early because I genuinely felt like I was going to pass out. It was heartbreaking and not something any bride should have to go through. To make matters worse, the back door leading to the ceremony space had to be left open all day. If it closed, it would automatically lock, requiring someone to walk all the way around the building to reopen it. This only made the AC issue worse and left the space feeling stuffy and uncomfortable. We also chose the "picnic package" for our catering, which included hamburgers and condiments. While the food tasted fine, the condiments provided were only ketchup, mustard, and BBQ sauce. No pickles, onions, lettuce, or anything else you’d typically expect for a picnic-style burger bar. It felt really underwhelming and a bit misleading based on how it was described. That said, I do want to shout out the bartender — she was absolutely lovely — and the rest of the staff helping out were kind and polite throughout the event. Unfortunately, it just didn’t make up for the other major issues. Lastly, the “groom’s getting ready room” was not at all what we expected. It was essentially a dark storage closet with no lighting, barely big enough for two people. We weren’t shown this space during our tour — we were told it was “in use” — but had we seen it, we would’ve made different plans. We paid a premium for this venue, and while there were some positives, the lack of transparency, climate control, and overall delivery made what should’ve been the best day of our lives feel unnecessarily stressful and uncomfortable.
Kiwanis Chocolate Festival was great. We loved the tender sliced beef and herbed potatoes for dinner, the 3 chocolate fountains, and the huge amount of auctions to bid on, of course to benefit the fundraiser :) The music was nice and the decorations were exquisite. We hoped to see a better variety of chocolates, possibly on the tables and on the buffet. Ice cream is nice, but in order to "taste" a variety, you had to bid on the auctions (which we won 3 btw). When you pay the amt for the tickets, one would think there would be a tiny bit more. We'll be back next year. Thank you!
We cant express how fantastic the guy that was in charge of service at our reception performed. This was possibly the best service my new wife and I experienced at any dinner service catered or otherwise. The 3 ladies he had working with him we exemplary and as a team they worked flawlessly. We had a small 25 person reception and even though small, they worked the service like we were billionaires. Food was excellent. Prepared fresh same day and brought to our event 50 miles from their kitchen and remarkably it was still hot and fresh. We had our reception at winona lake and we were worried about the distance with them coming from fort wayne. Absolutely was not an issue. They were there early with the set up truck then another truck.woth the hot food came shortly before service. 5 out of 5
