10/10 recommend Alexzia. She is so good. She always makes me feel so pretty as my hair has never looked so good. She deserves an award. I was super nervous to change my hair but I absolutely needed to so when I got my bob she made me feel comfortable and seen and of course we spiced it up and added highlights. Now I love my hair and my favorite self care is coming to get my hair done by her:)
I go to Cha Cha’s for Shelbi Lynn! I came to Shelbi looking for a stylist who could teach me how to care for and style my wavy/curly hair, and she did just that at my first appointment! Shelbi keeps conversations light hearted and honest, and makes me feel comfortable in her chair. When I make a request, she clarifies before proceeding, making sure she understands what I’m asking for (which is a great way to prevent error by misinterpretation). I would definitely recommend Shelbi Lynn!!!
Recently visited Ms.Alexzia for a much needed wash with my sew in (walk in appointment). She was extremely gentle & was thorough throughout every step of the process. She constantly made sure I was comfortable and even gave me tips on how to care for & maintain my hair at home. This was very appreciated because I am someone who is new to getting my hair done. Alexzia even offered to work with me when I remove my sew-in to maintain my hairs health & length! As someone with naturally curly hair it was important to me to have someone of color or with similar texture provide my service. When I expressed this she shared with me that everyone in the shop is trained on how to do curly hair. This made me feel confident to trust Cha Cha’s stylists! She also has an instagram @hairbyalexzia where she is constantly throwing deals to build her portfolio & makes it easy to book with her! I felt her prices were very reasonable especially for the attention to detail she provided.
Absolutely amazing. I saw Shelbi Lynn today and she completely changed my hair. I had went to a previous salon and they completely got the color wrong. Shelbi was able to match the color I wanted exactly. It’s really hard to find someone like this! I will definitely be coming back and recommending her and the whole Cha Cha’s crew to everyone!
My experience was actually negative. It took me a while to decide where I wanted to get my ends trimmed, considering my hair is curly and not everyone knows how to work with curly hair. My expectations were high for the salon because I'd read good reviews. Anyway, the girl who helped me was very friendly, but I don't think she'd ever handled hair like mine in her life. When I got there, I realized there was no one of color there. Maybe it was my mistake because it's a salon for white people. Maybe I should have said I'm mixed-race (or black). Anyway, the girl never divided my hair into equal parts to make sure she was getting an even cut. Also, while she was washing it, she wasn't gentle at all. Then, she applied a product to my hair that felt like it was burning me. When I saw that she was finishing, I asked her if she'd made sure my cut was even, and she said yes. She dried my hair with a diffuser, which made my hair look much shorter and fuller. When I got home, I could really see that my hair was still uneven and had split ends. Although I wasn't looking for a radical change, just a simple trims, making a square cut in my hair keeping the same length. the work done didn't meet my needs and goals. The first photo: when we started The second photo: when we finished The third photo at home: where you can see that the hair isn't cut evenly.
