I've never been to this location, I will make it a point to do so again. The gentleman that greeted me at the door is just absolutely wonderful. I placed an order to go and this guy got me to order a margarita while I waited. It was delicious and while I waited I watched. He made children smile and parents happy. Many a customer hugged him on the way out. I recommend this amazing place. Thank you!

If you want a spot in Boise that genuinely hits that sweet spot between Northwest comfort and Mexico-style flavor, Chapala on Vista is it. I lived in Mexico for 14 months, so I’m picky about the basics—seasoning, sauces, and whether the food tastes cooked with intention—and Chapala consistently delivers. Their menu goes way beyond “standard combo plates.” The Carne Asada y Mas is a standout when you want that classic grilled steak plate done right, and their slow-cooked dishes like Chile Colorado and Pork Carnitas are the kind of rich, comforting meals you come back for. Also: the variety is awesome—burritos, tacos, tamales, flautas, plus fun starters like taquitos and Mexican pizza. Bonus points for the little things: they hype their fresh-made signature guacamole, and you can tell they care about keeping the experience consistent. And if you’re ordering to-go, their online ordering setup is easy and legit. Boise’s lucky to have this place—highly recommend.

Well I tried Chapala Mexican restaurant early this evening. The service was excellent. They were very busy and had me seated with in 10 minutes. The waiters were running pretty hard but I watched how they interacted with the guest that I could see. They were very nice to me. I placed my order and had it in front of me within 15 minutes. The verde green sauce on my pork burrito was very good with just the right amount of spices and the pork was very tender. We rate on three categories. Service/staff we excellent. Atmosphere, decorations and comfortable setting was also excellent. The third is food and it was all very good and I would have it again. I give it 4.8 out of 5 as I rarely give out a 5 to any place. Good job Chapala. BRAVO

Great Mexican Restaurant located near Boise's heart. Huge menu, friendly staff, and bean dip w/chips to die for. I went with the carnitas de res and a side tamale - the carnitas dish was great - peppers, mushrooms, and onions over cut up skirt steak - really good. The guac was awesome and mixed with the rice and beans on a corn tortilla - man, just wheel me out of there. The wife went with the fajitas dish that was served piping hot. She left nothing. No dessert for us. We almost took a nap in the car before we left - huge portions of good food. Yum. Definitely a recommend on this place.

In Boise visiting and we wanted Mexican food. Good old Google directed us here and what a treasure. The atmosphere is beautiful, inviting full of beautiful vibrant colors. The service is impeccable. The food fantastic. I had the chili Verde meal followed by a dessert of deep fried ice cream. Winners all the way across the board. Will definitely be back before returning home.
