I purchased an engagement ring and two wedding bands from Rivchun almost 15 years ago. That was a very positive experience, but not the purpose of writing a review all these years later. I now live far from Cleveland, and my wedding band had become too small to wear. I got a bit of a run-around inquiring about enlarging it where I live now, so on a whim I emailed Rivchun as we were going to be in Ohio for a few days around Christmas. They were very responsive and set me an appointment during what is surely a very busy time of year, and within a very short time I was walking out wearing my band for the first time in two years, for no charge and no pressure to make any other purchases. It was a really nice start to the Christmas visit home and a very good example of the benefits of taking your custom to a reputable independent shop like this, if you are able.
If you want to feel included and heard as a customer, this is the jeweler to work with. I designed my wedding ring through them and they brought my vision to life and made it better than I could have imagined and it’s a perfect match with my engagement ring. We also purchased my husband’s wedding ring and were very happy with his as well. Working with Joe was a beautiful process and we will continue to go back for other pieces in the future and will keep stopping in to see what new pieces they have. I saw a garnet ring they had gotten in from an estate sale and I had to bring it home with me. I’ve recommended them to anyone that asks and will continue to do so. Everyone we’ve spoke to here has been nothing short of perfect and kind.
Family heirloom ruined. Brought my grandmothers locket in to get a new clasp. Returned a few weeks later to retrieve locket and clasp and was told I got a courtesy jewelry wash as well. I open the locket and the negatives from old photos that were sealed inside of it 60 years ago had completely dissolved. They said they would fix this for me and their fix looked like a 3rd grade arts and crafts project. It consisted of nail polish, plexiglass and the locket now fails to close. Disappointed and upset is an understatement. If you need a valuable jewelry repair, DO NOT BRING IT HERE.
Joe, Miles, and the rest of the team are terrific. They didn't charge me a dime for link removals on two of my watches, and less than $8 for a battery replacement. Everyone is so kind in-store, and they have a beautiful collection of watches and jewelry. Great insights from them. Will be back for any watch needs I have in the future. Highly recommend!
I can't give this company enough stars! I went in & was immediately greeted by Joe who was SO nice! I went in to have my ring resized & expected to have it take a few days. I actually didn't have to leave my ring there, they were able to size my ring in under 20 minutes! They offered me refreshments, took great care of my ring, and even paid for my parking. I was able to try on a ring in the style I want, he gave me in depth detail on it, the creation process, and even talked about what it would look like for us to alter it a little bit. Ten out of ten service & ten out of ten craftsmanship!
