The cheesecakes here aren't overly sweet and there are lots of cheesecake, cake and pastry options available. The staff members provide good service and the establishment is pretty clean overall.
Hi, my name is Sylvia and I made a purchase last night 12/6/2025. I purchased 2 pieces of white chocolate raspberry, 1 slice of banana pudding cake, lemon blueberry cake & coconut cake. I'm sitting here eating the coconut cake & I go to eat more and I see a long strand of brownish hair underneath the slice of cake. I've tried calling the store today 3 times & no one answered. I'm going to check the other 2 slices to see if anything is in it. I have pictures and a video of the hair as I pull it out the cake. It's unfortunate that this happened. I drove from Rockingham, NC to Greensboro, NC. This was my 2nd time coming to this location. Suggestion is the workers should wear hairnets or something to prevent this from happening to anyone else. My daughter loves the cheesecakes so she may come back but I more than likely won't make anymore purchases. The same girl boxed up the other 2 slices. Sad part is the cake was actually good.
I stumbled across this bakery and was so pleasantly surprised! The star of the show was definitely the coconut cake—moist, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness with real coconut flavor that tastes homemade in the best way. It reminded me of something a grandmother would proudly serve at a family gathering. The sweet potato soufflé was equally impressive—creamy, rich, and perfectly spiced, with just a hint of sweetness that makes it work as either a side or a dessert. You can tell there’s a lot of care put into these recipes. The atmosphere was cozy (perfect for studying) the staff were friendly, and everything had that made-from-scratch feel you can’t fake. If you’re in the area and craving something comforting and delicious, don’t miss this spot!
Very nice place. There is inside seating and outdoor seating. There is a huge selection of cheesecakes, cakes, cookies, brownies, pastries and biscotti etc. service was friendly and quick. Prices were more than fair. Definitely will be returning
Prices were amazing in my opinion. I loved the aesthetic of this spot— an aroma of coffee filled the space. There were quite a bit of people dining in 9pm at night enjoying a bite of dessert and coffee. I have not been to Alex’s in years! It did not disappoint. We ordered a banana foster cheesecake, bourbon butter pecan, and a chocolate chip filled cookie sandwich. Total was $13 !!! I was very tempted to try their other baked goods such as these huge cupcakes I came across — there will be a next time. So many options to choose from, this place is not limited to cheesecake!
