Went in yesterday and ordered 5 burgers and fried pickles. First the location is a little different. I had to park across the street but it wasn't bad. There was no wait to be seated and the place looked very clean. The waitress took our order fairly fast but seemed a little unsure of herself (maybe new). The fried pickles can't it perfect and we're some of the best we've eaten. Most of my family ordered bacon cheese burgers and i ordered the Southwest burger (added bacon). Each of us ordered "extra crispy" bacon. When they came out, the bacon was anything but crispy and we all removed it and are it without bacon. My daughter ordered her burger plain and dry but it came out with mayo and mustard which she scraped off. That being said, the burgers otherwise were excellent; just without bacon lol. They all loved the fries and the sweet potato fries were excellent as well. The owner to his credit after we were all basically done eating brought out a basket of crispy bacon. Unfortunately everyone but me was done eating and i only had a couple bites left which i tried sliding a little bacon on. Burgers would have been great with this bacon but for the rest of the family, it was too late. Still we appreciated the effort on the owners party to make it right. He also didn't charge us for the bacon in the end. I'm the end, despite the order being a little off, the food was great and I'd 100% go back there again. My only real complaint was our waitress didn't return a single time to refill or drinks. Even after i walked up and refilled my own at the counter for a hint, she didn't pick up on that and all the rest of the family say empty. I i walked up and refilled theirs at the counter as well. Ask this being said, if you're in the mood for a really good burger, you won't go wrong here and the owner definitely cares about making his customers happy. 100% recommend this place.
My family and I are visiting from Abilene, Texas, and on our way to the zoo and other attractions and my husband saw this place and it is phenomenal! I had a tostada with seasoned beef, sour cream and guacamole added on and it was so good. Every individual food item had a flavor and taste to it unlike I’ve ever tasted before! The atmosphere and staff were amazing and very friendly and made you feel like the #1 priority.
I recently tried Cheesy Jane’s. Parking around the building is very limited, but there is plenty of open parking across the street. Seating is open, so you can sit wherever you would like. The diner has a classic, old-school diner setup that feels casual and inviting. I was greeted right away and my order was taken quickly. I ordered the double bacon burger with tots, and my food came out within about 10 minutes. The burger was a good size and the portion of tots was generous. The burger reminded me of a bougie Sonic-style burger. Very juicy and satisfying. The tots were perfectly cooked and crispy. One thing to note is that their social media advertises a student, military, or first responder discount. When I asked about it, the server did not apply the discount, so I am not sure if that promotion is still valid. Overall, Cheesy Jane’s is a nice spot if you are looking for a quick, casual bite with solid diner-style food.
My son is a big burger lover and we try a new burger spot once a week. He loved their burgers and their cheesy fries. I got the comal burger with added jalapeños and very tasty. You can get your preferred burger size 1/4,1/2, etc which added to the value. Our server Ella was polite and constantly checking on me ans my son.
Love this place. We were able to bring our dog and get burgers, fries, tots, and shakes and sit outside. Very creative selection and good service.
