Great supply store, teaching studio, and kiln service. Glad to have them close by in Durham.

Great food for the price point. Staff was really quick to make sure there was no waiting for food. Very nice family feel to it rather than other places with the same food. Will be back again

Claymakers in Old East Durham is a spacious, well-ventilated, and welcoming place to learn and practice ceramics. There are fun classes with patient teachers - a new session starts every 7 or so weeks - and reasonably-priced open studio hours if you just need a wheel or a place to work on and fire/glaze your clay. I have been taking classes since the Foster Street days and have massive respect for the management and how they have navigated the pandemic since the beginning. The focus is always on keeping the community safe, healthy, and happy. Can't speak more highly of the community center that new Claymakers has become since reopening at the Driver St location. It is an incredible place for pottery and pottery-adjacent activity and fellowship. Support your local ceramics non-profit; donate if you can to help keep them going!
