I started coming to this studio in July 2025 to start my wedding workout journey and improve my over all health and I just couldn’t stop coming! Every person from the reception to the instructors have made me feel so welcome by learning my name or taking the time and attention to make sure I’m getting the most out of my workout. I truly enjoying coming to every class!!

I have really loved coming to Club Pilates in Little Tokyo. About 11 months ago, I thought it would give it a try. For years, I have done yoga -- off and on -- and thought I wanted to change it up. I love that pilates is a really nice balance between strength training, stretching, and endurance. I leave class feeling energized and just sore enough. I appreciate that the classes constantly change so they don't become monotonous. The instructors have been phenomenal, giving very helpful feedback/coaching, while also being very explanatory when giving instruction in class.
Unfortunately, my experience during the class itself was deeply troubling due to the conduct of an instructor named RICARDO. During the session, he touched my arm without my consent in a forceful, manhandling manner. I politely asked him to be gentler, and he appeared visibly upset by this request. At no point prior to class was I asked if I had any injuries, which I understand to be standard protocol in Pilates classes. While I do not have frequent injuries, I currently have a bruise on that and would have informed him had I been asked. I also would have requested not to be touched that day. Consent is critical in any fitness setting, and it is especially important that instructors, particularly MALE instructors working with female clients clearly ask for permission before making physical contact. Additionally, during the class there was a movement where hands were placed on the reformer. For balance and comfort, I chose to place my hands on my waist and explained this to him when he asked me to change my position. In response, he rolled his eyes in an exaggerated manner in an attempt to shame me. In nearly four years of attending Club Pilates classes at multiple locations, I have never experienced behavior like this. The combination of unconsented physical contact and dismissive, unprofessional reactions created an environment that did not feel safe or welcoming.
This studio is so welcoming! I was so nervous about the intro class, but my nerves were quickly soothed. The instructor was so kind and patient. I've attended a couple of classes, mostly taught by Erika and Morgan, and I highly recommend going!! You'll experience great vibes, good music, and sore muscles.
