When my family first arrived in Canada in the late 1990s, we didn’t have much. My parents bought most of our furniture from this store, it was the only place in the city where we could afford anything on the modest income we had as new immigrants. Since then, I’ve gone on to complete elementary, middle, and high school, earn an undergraduate and even an MBA from an Ivy League school in the U.S. I’m now well into my career, but one thing has remained constant: I’m still using the same table my late father bought for our family all those years ago. I’m deeply grateful to the wonderful people who run this store. I hope you all realize the lasting impact you have on the lives of families like mine.
This was definitely the biggest thrift store I've ever been to at four stories high. They have each floor separated by items so first floor is music and kitchen stuff, second floor is clothes, third is furniture etc. The prices were extremely reasonable, I got a camisole, graphic t-shirt, and a dress for $22. There are changing rooms which are a bit small but still have somewhere to sit and places to hang up your clothes. The lady at the second floor counter was so nice. I definitely don't speak fluent French as I'm not from Quebec, but she spoke to me in French and then we had to switch to English but she was very sweet about it and didn't seem upset that I didn't speak French. It was strange because after you pick out your clothes you actually go to the second floor counter, the worker writes down your price on a tag and holds your clothes for you until you go down to the first floor, pay, and bring your receipt back upstairs and the worker hands you your clothes. It was something I've never experienced before but it was actually really nice because you don't have to worry about carrying all your clothes down and trying to balance them while you pay. A nice addition to my day as both of the wonderful ladies that helped me, smiled and wished me a good day.
Large thrift second-hand store in Quebec City. They just have about anything you need from furnitures to clothing to books and games to plates utensils and cooking/kitchen equipment and electronic appliances. The prices are also very fair and decent. Overall a great place to spend your free time browsing through!
