I've been a repeat client of Nicole's and I just want to show my appreciation for all of my incredible experiences. For about two years prior to seeing Nicole, I had been trying to bring my blonde hair back to my natural brown; however, it just seemed to be missing the mark. After a thoughtful conversation with Nicole, she found my match! I still require maintenance for the grays sprouting up, but it's such a relief sitting in her chair knowing she is going to listen to your concerns/desires and follow up with questions to ensure you leave with happy and healthy hair. Also, Nicole gave me one of my favorite hair cuts I've ever had in my life. I love my hair now and I can't thank her enough.
I have been coming here for my hair for a little over a year and I absolutely love it! The salon vibes are great — there are always snacks and water offered to you which is super sweet. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. I get my services with Suzan and I always add on the scalp treatment and it is the best for a pampering day! She is so fun to talk to and always does a wonderful job with my hair so I leave looking and feeling good 🤩
Best experience ever. I want to thank Gwen for finding my post on Facebook and recommending this place. And I want to give big thanks to Nicole for not only making it the best and most welcoming experience but making me feel good about myself again. I truly appreciate her. Definitely coming back and telling everyone I know about this place
I literally just got my haircut this morning but I can’t waste any time raving about Katie. I’ve had a lot going on recently and my hair was actually sending me further into a spiral. For context, I have thick, curly/wavy hair that can be super overwhelming to deal with. I wanted to get a haircut quick so I just took a chance in booking here with Katie because she was the first one available and OMG, she did fantastic. Took off all the dead hair and brought my curls back to life. It feels like both a physical and mental weight has been lifted. She took the time to give me advice about how to take care of my hair better, and recommended products as well. Oh, and I was also 15 min late to my appointment because I got the time wrong and they still took care of me, so I’m thankful for that. I love how my haircut turned out and I can’t wait to come back. If you want someone to take care of your curls, don’t underestimate Katie 🥰
UPDATE: Janaye is no longer at Dark Horse, so I cannot vouch for or promise any services they provide moving forward from 5/26/24. Janaye, my stylist, is incredible! Everyone at the salon is very friendly. I love seeing Janaye because she is a great listener. She is always willing to let me ask numerous questions about the end result, maintenance, etc. Before coming to her, at the advice of a friend, I had had a terrible experience somewhere else. It has been such a relief to look forward to my hair appointments again! We recently took my hair back to a darker brown, closer to the original color. She had done the perfect blonde ombré look- and I loved it, but was ready for a change! She was so patient with me as I struggled to convince myself I would like it like my blonde. But I trusted her and it came out PERFECTLY! I love how healthy and shiny it is. As it's grown out over the last few weeks, it keeps looking better!
