My first visit for 30 years and not so busy or stocked as it was when I regularly shopped for plants for a new house. Larger than life Bill Dawson, ever so helpful, was no longer there, but it still had its wonderful charm. There is still plenty to choose from. I left Perth 25 years ago and returned recently. I loved Dawsons and was so happy to return last weekend. All of the staff were still super friendly and helpful. There is now a lovely cafe, we had lunch and afternoon tea, scones, jam and cream. Absolutely wonderful food and our dog enjoyed herself too. I'm so happy the nursery is still going and hope it continues.
I have been meaning to visit this garden centre for a while and I wasn't disappointed. A gorgeous space, with lots of plants & helpful staff. I don't buy plants often but I believe that small businesses like Dawsons are far more invested in reliably selling good, healthy plants. I think that large, hardware stores often also have a garden nursery but there is often a lack of knowledge by their garden staff & not the same quality of stock. I was so pleased with the excellent service and advice I got at Dawsons Garden Worldin Forrestfield & will definitely be shopping there again.
The nursery is pretty huge for you to wonder. Though they didn’t have much variety on succulents. They have a couple of bigger alocasia Amazonica at the time I went. Would recommend if you love flowering plants as they seem to have more of it.
Love coming here. Staff are extra friendly and courteous and helpful. 🪴 Great place for young and old and in between! = my granddaughter, my Mother and myself enjoy strolling & discovering & having a bite to eat the café. ☕ Hope that is still going. 🤔 Don't get out here enough.💜
The Experience at Dawsons Garden World, Forrestfield was amazing. This Nursery has a lot of selection of Plants like roses, azaleas, succulents, shade plants, tropical, fruit trees, indoor plants and many more. This nursery is different to a lot of other nurseries as it has a huge canopy of natural trees, a lot of places to sit and rest. A tropical forest feel in the middle (Garden Fairies). It is buzzing with bees and a lot of birds, feels like you entered a different world. The store at the front where you make payments have fertilisers, seeds, plant food and also potting mixes and a small selection of pots. All in all a great place to shop and is great to take you kids as well as it also features a Cafe. The prices are reasonable and you can save more if you have signed up for the Dawsons Card, Also the team are friendly and always happy to help.
