Our close friends had their daughter’s wedding reception at the DYC. The views of the river and downtown Detroit are spectacular from here. The venue had great bar service, delicious food - hospitality, and plenty of room for the dinner service and dance floor. I like the historical atmosphere of the rooms and the building itself. However, I think there are areas of the DYC that could use some polishing up to improve the overall aesthetics and feeling of cleanliness but a special place for making memories nonetheless.

Beautiful place right on the water for a stunning wedding. Food was excellent except I suspect fish was not gluten free as requested. Seating had plenty of room and dance floor with band was good. Only negative was chairs were uncomfortable.

I've been here several times as a guest and always enjoyed it and loved all the tradition this organization has. Everyone is friendly and the entertainment is always top notch. I love Detroit and the beautiful waterfront views.

I've been here many times to play for events. The facilities are beautiful and well-maintained. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The views are incredible. The catering is excellent--everything is delicious. It's rare as a vendor (musician) to be treated so well at such a beautiful venue. It does take time to get here--you might imagine since it's just off of Jefferson, it would be right there, but it takes time to drive around the island. It's a beautiful drive, though.
