HIGHLY recommend DH Catering! We recently brought a group of 330 to Oahu and we used DH for 4 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 1 dinner so I can speak on their food for all 3 meals as being outstanding! Everything they catered was very good- and good-sized portions. Their customer service was above and beyond. They replied to all communication quickly and were accommodating to several of our requests. They were also right on time with every delivery. We have found that many catering services underestimate how long it takes to prepare food for 300+ but DH knew exactly what that looks like. DH Catering planned and coordinated my wedding and reception in June. I have to admit, I feel what some of the other reviews have said...especially at the beginning of the process, I could tell that DH had tons of work and not a ton of staff, and that they were (rightly so!) focusing the vast majority of their attention and efforts on already contracted clients. But it was a little frustrating at the time trying to get in communication, which was not helped AT ALL by us being in timezones that were 6 hours apart. ...HOWEVER, I trusted in the process, and the results speak for themselves. DH are definitely professionals with tons of experience, and their product is SOLID, and their relationship with various vendors is invaluable. When the wedding day arrived, everything looked amazing, the food was FANTASTIC, the staff and vendors all did excellent work. My wedding and reception were everything I could've wanted, and so much more! So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. Unless you have experience in wedding planning, it is definitely helpful to have an experienced professional wedding planner/coordinator, to think of all the ten million things you would never think about on your own! You can trust DH with your special event.
We had the pleasure of working with Sakara throughout our wedding process. Highly recommend a tasting before your event because they have such an adorable cafe called Barefoot Beach Cafe which is right by the ocean. We held our rehearsal brunch there with our guests after our wedding rehearsal. Even though you can get amazing shrimp in the North Shore, DH Catering delivered delicious garlic shrimp that paired lovely with their prime rib which was amazing (and still talked about by our guests)! Tons of options that were all well executed. Loved working with this company and Sakara. She takes pride in her work and everything looked beautiful.
I had a fantastic experience with DH Catering. I was looking for a caterer for a wedding party I was hosting and I was drawn to their website by the photos of their parties they had planned. The taste and design was very high quality. When I began working with Sakara, in spite of her being short staffed due to the pandemic, she was extremely helpful and flexible, especially when I had to change my venue at the last minute. The food was delicious, and I loved the Hawaiian flavors, the presentation stunning and our party was a huge success. And, most of all it was so easy for me as I knew Sakara had everything under control. I highly recommend DH Catering and have only positive things to say about them.
I had my wedding reception at the Barefoot Beach Cafe and planned everything through DH Catering. I was so pleased with how much they handled for us and how easy they made the wedding planning process! They handled our catering, decor, live music, cake, timeline, and more. They were quick to accommodate anything we needed and even suggested solutions for things that we needed help figuring out. Our wedding day was perfect because of them and we cannot thank them enough!
