Service writer was soft spoken and not pushy at all. They did a great job updating me on progress timing (I got a new full set of tires). At the end the talked to me about alignment which I knew I sorely needed so I never felt I was being oversold to. They provided a printout of the before/after. Spacious waiting area with a small countertop area which, if you can get it, would make it possible to work while you wait. Otherwise, there’s a Panera right there in the strip mall.
I walked into Discount Tire at 8:00 AM this morning and was immediately greeted by the staff. They asked what brought me in, I explained the issue, and without any hesitation they said, “We’ll get right on it.” They kept me well updated throughout the entire process, and I was in and out in about 35 minutes. Excellent customer service and efficiency. Discount Tire is definitely my go to for anything tire related!
Parker is the kind of sales guy you want running the front of your shop. Dude is polite, courteous, and cuts straight to the point. I hate being bs'd and upsold which is why my experience here was great. Hire more guys like Parker. Edit: been here three hours. Not the greatest service after all. I didnt know doing tires was an all day endeavor. Also pick these guys over Tuffys. A tire change should not take 7 hours.
I don’t mean to say you should avoid all Discount Tire spots, but I really wouldn’t recommend this one. I used to be a regular customer, but after a few years of bad experiences at the East Broad location, I’ve stopped going. Here are my top three reasons why: 1. I took my Audi RS3, which was just two weeks old, to this place for winter tire mounting and balancing. When I got it back, I found two of the four wheels were scratched down to the metal. Did they fix it? Eventually, after about two months of back-and-forth emails, they paid me back for the repairs. 2. I brought in my son’s car to fix a slow leak in one tire. They said they couldn’t fix it because of corrosion on the wheel. Instead of sanding or grinding it like any decent tire shop would, they tried to sell me new wheels. I took the car to Tire Discounters, explained the problem, and they fixed the leak and sealed it in 30 minutes. 3. About a year later, I bought four new tires for my son’s car through Tire Rack, which has merged with Discount Tire. The tires were sent to the East Broad location for installation. My son went there, and they again tried to tell him one of the wheels wouldn’t seal because of corrosion and tried to sell him new wheels. I talked to the salesperson, reminded them of the last time, and said I was frustrated about having to pay for mounting and balancing only to have to go elsewhere. So, we took the car to Tire Discounters, and they promised to fix it. Ten minutes after dropping it off, they called to say the tire wouldn’t seal because the bead was torn during installation by a Discount Tire technician. When I got there, the technician showed me a three-inch piece of the bead stuck in the tire. So, when it comes to tire installation or any car service, be careful and don’t trust the technicians at this location. There are plenty of other reliable places nearby. These are the main issues I’ve had with the East Broad St Discount Tire. I’ve had other problems too, but I won’t bore you with those.
Solid group of guys at this location. They were understanding and flexible in allowing me to reschedule my appointment same day due to Columbus traffic. Thought I was screwed since it was close to closing time, but they still slid me in. Got a full set of Continental Dw06+ for my is350 and an alignment, the whip feels AMAZING. Needed this service BAD and I'm satisfied with the work completed. Thankful for the team's expertise, you've earned my business!
