**5 Stars for Marquita at District Dogs!** I had the pleasure of working with Marquita at District Dogs, and I couldn’t be more impressed with her care and professionalism! From the very first interaction, it was clear that she genuinely loves animals and takes her role seriously. She’s attentive, kind, and always goes the extra mile to make sure my dog feels comfortable and safe. Marquita has such a calm and friendly energy, which instantly put my dog at ease. She’s great at reading his body language and making sure he’s not only well-cared for but also having a fun, enjoyable experience. Whether it’s sending updates with cute pictures or just chatting about how my dog is doing, Marquita’s communication is always clear and thoughtful. The facility at District Dogs is top-notch, and Marquita plays a huge role in creating a welcoming, stress-free environment. I trust her completely with my pup, and I know he’s in great hands whenever he’s there. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about your dog and has the expertise to back it up, Marquita is the one! Highly recommend her and District Dogs to anyone in the area.

My dog and I love District Dogs Shaw. He has only been going for almost a month and he always is so excited to go in for daycare! The entire staff is amazing, sweet, and provide great customer service and they truly care for every pet that walks in. Roxy and Marquita are always so helpful and kind during every interaction I’ve had. The prices are great and an appointment for daycare is easy to make. You also get to watch your dog play on camera! Best decision I’ve made for my puppy. I definitely suggest District Dogs Shaw for your dogs!

I dropped my 5 month old Doberman off at District Dogs Shaw for a full day of daycare and boarding from 9 AM to 7 PM. By noon I was told he was too playful and not picking up on other dogs’ social cues so they removed him from group play. I understand safety is important but what happened next was unacceptable. They told me he would be placed in what they called a suite big enough for a Great Dane. They said he would get one walk and one hour of solo playtime for the entire day. When I asked for a photo of this suite I received a picture of what was actually a small windowless kennel. This is not the spacious and comfortable environment they described. While reviewing the live footage I saw an impatient attendant who did not give my dog a fair chance to socialize. Instead of working with him or redirecting his energy they quickly removed him from the group. For the remaining seven hours my puppy was confined to that small space with minimal interaction. This is not what I paid for and it is not what was advertised. My dog deserved better care, better handling, and an honest description of the conditions. I will not be returning and I do not recommend District Dogs Shaw to anyone who values transparency and humane treatment for their pets.

Amazing work by Shante! She did a great job grooming our long-haired corgi. Before and after photos are below. He is clean, happy, and probably a lot cooler with his summer cut. Booking an appointment was easy, the staff took him on time, and pickup after the appointment was seamless. The front desk staff are friendly and clearly love the animals. Great job District Dogs!

I can't speak for some of the very negative reviews I read about this place (except to note that if your dog is anxious on their first visit...that may not have anything to do with the employees!). In our case, we had an exceptionally positive first experience boarding our 8 month old Scottish terrier, who was cared for very well during his 3 night stay. We could tell through the live feed that he had a good time socializing with other dogs. The employees were clearly attentive. Our communication was stellar -- my emails checking in were always promptly answered. Our dog came home and was his usual, very chipper self. We were nervous leaving our dog here for the first time, but our expectations were exceeded. I recommend this place. You can leave your dog here with peace of mind.
