Amazing store with the most wonderful people working there! They were so knowledgeable about the different toys and treats, and helped us pick out the perfect things for our pup, Atlas! I also left my wallet on the counter and they caught me before I left so I didn't leave it accidentally. Thank you guys so much!
Exceptional staff who are knowledgeable and friendly make this such a positive experience. I found a very healthy option to switch my dog's food and reduced cost by 50% and am getting my food delivered. Be prepared for 15-20 minutes of education and reviewing options if you are like me and dont know much about dog food and options before walking into this shop. 10/10 recommend and would go again.
The day after Christmas, I decided it was urgent that my dog‘s toenails be cut so I wasn’t terribly surprised when my vet said they couldn’t do it and another groomer I called never answered the phone. Over the holiday I stopped into Dog Krazy Inc.to pick up some treats for my dogs for Christmas and I overheard them mention that they provide grooming services. I called. They said come on in first come first serve. Walked in didn’t wait five minutes. 15 minutes later walking out the door. Wonderful customer!!
This establishment is racist and lacks basic customer service. My experience at Dog Krazy in Carytown on Christmas Eve was deeply disappointing, uncomfortable, and unacceptable. From the moment I arrived, I was met with hostility due to a miscommunication that was entirely on their end, which staff and management chose to escalate instead of resolve professionally. Earlier that day, I called to ask if the self service wash was open. The employee I spoke with was polite and told me it was available. I asked about pricing and whether I could book a bath and possibly a face trim. I was told I could come in at 11:00 AM due to a cancellation and that I could discuss service options once I arrived. I was never told that booking this time required a full grooming, nor was pricing for the self service wash clearly explained. When I arrived and told the groomer, Gabby, that I wanted to do the self service wash plus a face trim, her attitude immediately changed. She became dismissive, told me I should have just walked in, and then inaccurately told the store manager that I booked a full grooming and changed my mind. The manager gave me a hostile look before speaking to me at all. I was started on a self service wash with a 20 minute timer even though my dog was not yet in the tub. I was not informed that the wash cost $15 per 20 minutes. When the first timer ended, I agreed to more time without being told it would be another $15. At checkout, I was shocked to be charged $45 for the self service wash alone. When I calmly questioned the price, the store manager raised his voice, belittled me, and claimed he was charging me for all the time I was in the store because I “took a grooming slot,” despite me being told on the phone I could come in to discuss options. He escalated the situation further by yelling and even threatening to call the police on Christmas Eve over a pricing dispute caused by their own lack of communication. He attempted to justify the charge using security footage, but referenced footage related to face trim pricing, not the self service wash. I was also scolded for briefly waiting in my car during a short face trim, which made no sense as customers are not expected to stay in the store during longer groomings. I ultimately paid the adjusted amount just to leave. Since this visit, my dog has developed eye irritation with mucus drainage and a small cut, which is extremely concerning. The lack of transparency, professionalism, and basic respect shown by management was shocking. No customer should be treated this way or threatened with police action over a misunderstanding. I will not be returning and plan to pursue further action.
Nestled in the heart of Richmond, VA is Carytown! While walking “The Mile of Style” ~ definitely grab some fun and creative pet treats at Dog Krazy. The cashier recognized I was buying teether toys for my puppy. She came out from the counter to find dried duck feet that her dog had loved when teething. Excellent customer service! Clean, bright, and fun displays. A great selection of products for all your animal friends. My pup sure loved them!
