I have a new 25 Ford Ranger XLT that I want to protect the finish. The conventional drive-through car wash rollers capture dirt and scratch finish. So I prefer to do my own washes. Dr hugs is a well run car wash. Everything works there and they use warm water which makes dirt removal much easier. A lot of the other self carwash use cold water. The interface for payment is excellent. Very easy to add extra time. Some of the bays have a blower to remove water, which is a nice touch, however, more power needed to be truly effective. But I still use as it reduces the amount of water to remove with a cloth.
Normally would rate 5 stars since I have used the self serve car wash service a few times with no issues. Right now there is a massive infestation of flying insects in every bay making it unusable. EDIT: Arrived at 9:30PM 7/9/2025 with no issues related to flying insects. I managed to get a great wash on my car for $12 (Three 5 minute sessions). I recommend bringing your own microfibers and drying towel to hand wash the car after the pre-soak and after your water rinse, since the high pressure is not going to get stuck on dirt/pollen and you shouldn’t waste your valuable time air drying the car. In addition I do not (in general) recommend using a public brush if you care about not scratching your car. This way it is great value for a spotless clean, and I highly recommend if you don’t mind the extra effort of a manual wash. In addition the owners seem to be very responsive to issues as seen here, and so great service overall.
I use to come here regularly. I haven't been in a couple of years thought tonight I would stop by . I put 4 dollars in for 5mins as soon as the timer went off I hit for spray nothing but a tiny stream of water .Hit for the power soap nothing same as the soap brush . Time kept going but nothing worked but the dryer . It wasn't only me . The people next to me where having the same problem. Just wanted to wash my car
Tried a self service car wash for the first time and it was overall a great experience. Really friendly service and everything works as it should. Option to pay with both cash and card. Would totally recommend.
This is my go to spot to fill propane. When you do tank exchanges at other places the tanks are never filled to capacity. I know this because I have a handheld propane scale. I got sick and tired of going through weighing propane tanks at other places that were always 3/4 to 1/2 full . Dr Huggs fills them to capacity everytime. My advice if you have a nice clean tank full it here. If you don’t have a nice tank exchange to somewhere else first then the next time it’s empty come here and fill it. That way you have a new tank that you can keep using at Dr Huggs.
