Dean was a great help when it came to building up my confidence with some refresher lessons. I passed my test many years ago in a manual car but always felt anxious so never really wanted to drive, but from my first lesson Dean let me go at my own pace and I felt a great confidence boost straight away. I have since bought my own car and can’t wait to go on some adventures. I would highly recommend DLA to anyone who feels nervous or just wants to build up some extra confidence.

I would absolutely recommend Dean as an automatic driving instructor. He is incredibly friendly, calm, and patient, which made learning to drive a really positive experience. He explains everything clearly and uses diagrams to help things make sense. Thanks to his approach, I passed first time with no minors. I had booked my test before starting lessons, so I had a hard deadline, but Dean was extremely flexible—often fitting in evening and weekend lessons to make sure I was fully prepared. I passed my test just 12 weeks after starting lessons with him. Dean was always reliable, punctual, and professional. His car was very clean and easy to drive, with features like parking sensors, a reverse camera, and automatic lights. He taught the syllabus in a very methodical way, we practiced lots of test routes, and completed a mock test, which really boosted my confidence. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor!

Absolutely amazing! I had two refresher lessons with Dean and they were incredibly helpful. I originally passed my test in a manual car years ago, but I hadn’t driven since because of nerves and a lack of confidence. I genuinely can't thank Dean enough for his support in getting me to pass my test, he's amazing. I came to him having failed a test 10 years ago and had barely driven since, so I was nervous about getting back onto the roads - but I really didn't need to worry at all. He's a great instructor and is super patient and supportive and explains everything so clearly, which always put me at ease when I was behind the wheel (this was really important for me as someone who struggled with my nerves). I passed first time with one fault, which I never would have thought possible before we started our lessons. Thanks to Dean who is patient, calm and brilliant in his teaching, I was able to pass my driving test first time.
