Friendly staff, located conveniently in Oakland Chinatown with nearby parking garage. We always get bread from the bakery while we wait. I have met several eye doctors at this location over the years. All of them are kind and patient. They are bilingual in English and Cantonese. The doctors really care about my well being. They asked about my lifestyle to make sure I have the best eye care. My family and I appreciate East Bay Vision!

This place has to be one of the worst optometrists I've ever experienced. The whole outfit is like something out of 1980 - no updated tech, janky manual devices for eye tests, reading vision charts in what appear to be old shaving mirrors. I have no idea how this is even a business much less a place to receive medical care. Staff outside of the doctor were either rude or incompetent and seemed to be actively making the doctor's job more difficult by moving charts and complete disorganization. My visit took nearly 3 hours. I had an appointment a full month ago and have yet to receive my trial contact lenses, used my one insurance-covered exam for the whole year, and was told ordering a full box of contacts would take over a month. When I expressed that I qualify for medically necessary contacts, they were obviously mad that they wouldn't be getting $300 from me that day and tried to talk me out of using my insurance benefits. Go literally anywhere else. Hell, go blind it'll be less frustrating than dealing with this optometrist.

What a great experience! I needed an appointment soon and noticed through the online booking that there was an opening the next day. I booked the appointment, an hour later I get a call to confirm the booking, and I get seen immediately at my time the next day. Everyone, especially the doctor, was very nice. I never felt rushed and the annual exam was very robust. I feel like my eyeballs have never been more thoroughly examined LOL Very happy to have such a high quality healthcare/eye car option near downtown. My old place closed recently so this was my first time here. Hopefully some of the 10 year old 1 star reviews can get deleted because this place is a 5/5 for sure.

They were easy to work with, they carry a wide selection of frames that fit my larger face, and the glasses were ready in a week! They were also responsive to my emails. They carry the Korean brand CARIN which make light and minimalist titanium frames. I do recommend checking this place out!

Visité East bay vision para un examen de la vista completo el 18 de abril de 2018. Mi experiencia fue muy excelente. El personal de recepción fue muy cooperativo y servicial. Fueron muy amables y serviciales. Realmente me ayudaron mucho. Mi cita fue con la Dra. Loo, quien era una mujer muy agradable y muy amable y servicial. Ella realmente hizo un muy buen trabajo. Ella respondió a todas mis preguntas. Le hice tantas preguntas y ella respondió a todas ellas con mucho detalle. Volví a hacer algunas preguntas y ella fue muy amable y solidaria. La chica de la recepción que realmente me ayudó a elegir mis gafas. Ella fue muy amable y servicial. Recomendaría este lugar. Ofrecen un servicio tan excelente.
