At age 17, my son began attending Educational Resources' day school program in the spring of 11th grade, after struggling for many years with classwork in the Catholic school system and at JCPS. He immediately thrived with the 1:1 attention and focus on teaching in a way that resonated with how he learns. Despite having dyslexia, dyscalculia and ADHD, he passed his Algebra II and English classes with an A, and learned to enjoy his time in the classroom. He's returning for his senior year this fall and he can't wait. He likes how it allows him to be independent and also that it's a small classroom setting without distractions.

My 18 year old came here their sophomore year of H.S. After struggling for years in the public school system. Having two failing classes and the other classes on the verge of failing Educational Resources never gave up on their education and just yesterday they graduated high school with Honors! Not only that, my child who dreaded school liked coming here and learned to love learning!! I have so much gratitude toward Lindsay and the staff here. Thank you educational resources

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the experience my family had at your center on Wednesday, Oct 17th at round 5PM for my daughter's PSAT test. We had scheduled the test with the intention of exploring 1-on-1 coaching for my daughter in the future. My wife arrived early and informed the staff that I was on my way with the payment check. I also arrived with the check in hand. Unfortunately, despite both my wife and I being present with the check, our daughter was called out of the testing area and told she needed to leave the center because the check had not been received without any options to discuss. This was incredibly concerning, and feel disheartened especially considering our clear communication regarding the payment. When we inquired about the situation, a staff member responded in a rude and threatening manner. They informed us, in an unprofessional comparison to a fast-food restaurant, that service wouldn't be provided until payment was received. They even threatened to call the police despite our calm and polite demeanor. This experience was not only inconvenient but also deeply unsettling. It's disheartening, as we previously had a positive experience with your center for our son's needs. We certainly don't want our daughter to be exposed to such an unprofessional learning environment. We urge the management/leadership to investigate this incident and take steps to ensure such behavior is not tolerated from this company's staff. Additionally, we received an invoice for services not rendered, which further adds to our disappointment. On a positive note, we sent our son at this center few years back at this center and it was a very good experience, which is the main reason, we went back to this place. Hope someone at the leadership level looks into this and get it fixed before reputation of this company is completely lost due to some bad staff member.

My twin boys began learning at Educational Resources the summer before second grade. When we started, reading aloud was a chore often accompanied by tears. Despite the best efforts of their phenomenal elementary school teachers, they were still working through a stack of sight words from kindergarten and struggled to decode. Fast forward a year later, and my boys are graduating from the program with MAP scores well into the 90th percentile. One son received the “reading” award from his second grade teacher, the other knows way too much about world wars (the only downside of his newfound ability to read independently)! Both boys read chapter books long after I say “lights out” and, most importantly, they feel confidence and JOY each time they select a book. None of this would be possible without the compassionate, talented staff at Educational Resources. Ms. Linda and Ms. Joan formed deep connections with my boys and made each lesson tailored to their interests and needs…regardless of how much patience this may have involved! Although we have completed the program, both sons have asked to return for more lessons or at least to visit their beloved teachers. Lindsay, the director, is incredibly knowledgeable and caring also, and was so helpful as we navigated this journey. I am an educator myself, and I would swear by the staff, curriculum, and methodology behind Educational Resources. We will be forever grateful!

After working with the patient and skillful Karen, my daughter has gained confidence and continuity in her Math skills. Educational Resources is a team of professionals that care. Working with Karen has made our life much calmer in regards to Math homework. Before working with ER, my daughter would shed big tears and felt so lost. She goes each week to tutoring without a fight because she sees the value too.Going here has been a game changer. This place is worth it! We plan to keep her going as she needs support through high school. Cannot say enough positive things.
