The food at El Sabor Oaxaqueño is really good — that’s the main reason for the rating. However, there are some serious service issues. The staff speaks only Spanish, so communication in English is very difficult and often confusing. The biggest problem is the wait time. They keep saying “15 minutes,” then another “15 minutes,” then “5 more minutes,” but in reality you end up waiting almost 55 minutes. It feels like the wait time is not communicated honestly. If you’re not in a rush and don’t mind waiting for good food, it might be worth it. But the service and time management definitely need improvement.
I come here ALL THE TIME & always tip at least $3-$5 for 3 steak tacos. That’s always what I order. Tonight I pulled up like I always do and have waited literally over an hour and it’s not busy at all. No one has come to take my order like they usually always do. They’ve walked right by my car at least 20 times and looked right at me only to ignore me. Terrible customer service and very rude. This is not the way a business should treat a regular customer whom might I add tips every single time 30 to 40% of the cost of my meal. They always come out to take my order while I sit in my car. I like the food but tonight was very disappointing to say the least. I will give them one more shot at my business to be fair because I know every business has a bad day.
One of many semi-permanent Mexican food trucks in the area, this one has a huge menu of offerings and their portions are huge. Staff is friendly, but doesn’t speak much English. Food was great. We bought it to go.
I ordered chicken enchiladas in green sauce, side Spanish rice. I got French fries and no rice. When I opened the box I could smell something sour from enchiladas. I cut into the enchiladas and immediately could smell that the chicken was bad. The chicken was cooked but smelled terrible 🤢 It was to late take it back they had closed. First time trying this food truck and won’t go back wasted my $
I don’t mind a food truck and I was excited to try this place. I’m a bit disappointed, the tortillas on the quesabirria tacos was so thick and the consommé was all grease, it was so very oily. The meat was really good on the inside. I just ate that.
