I am writing this review to let you know that you guys are extremely understaffed. Gotta say the atmosphere and decor is great but Its not nice as a customer to call servers, wave at them multiple times and still nobody cares to show up. Although i dropped a minimum of 15% tip but thinking of the service, it should have been a 0%.

First time visit and was blown away with the decor and service. Had the tasting menu with two friends for a birthday celebration. We had a great time. Would definitely go back.

This place is an absolute gem for authentic Mexican food! The tacos were outstanding, especially the lamb — tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with fresh toppings. The touch of coriander and parsley added a refreshing burst of flavor that paired amazingly with the richness of the meat, making each bite unforgettable. The atmosphere has a vibrant, genuine Mexican vibe that immediately sets the mood for a great night out. It felt warm, lively, and welcoming — the kind of place you want to come back to often. A big shout-out to Charlie, who made the experience even better. He was genuine, attentive, and incredibly friendly, making sure everything was just right throughout the meal. Service like his really makes a difference and adds to the overall experience. If you’re looking for excellent tacos, great vibes, and fantastic service, this spot is a must-visit. We had the pork, lamb, shrimp and fried chicken tacos. We love the lamb best with little spice. We also had the Gyazo Nacho (they are Gyazo but with Guacamole on it) and pork ribs. All the seasonings are perfect!! The person serving us was top notch, it was our first time there, the person recommended the portion which was very helpful! They even try to replicate a drink they don’t have on the menu!

Escondite always has the best food and service, but Escondite Union beats them all. It's the best Mexican food in Canada, they have the best Margaritas and they just rock. The service is top notch, fast and soooo welcoming, it feels like you are visiting family! We travel from Ottawa every 2 or 3 months just for their food. Love them!
