The top local barbershop for men's haircuts. Always can count on talented and friendly staff (shout out Lou & Riad). It has a very nice waiting area with snacks and drinks. I always walk out looking my best. Would recommend to anyone in need of a high quality hair cut.
Essex is a very clean and welcoming environment. My barber is Lou and he is a great barber! I always get compliments from others when he cuts my hair. He is also very friendly, professional, and ensures you have a great experience. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a haircut at Essex with a great barber.
This is a great local barbershop. Friendly staff, sleek interior, and high quality cuts. Also: sharps containers utilized! I always respect barber safety. BBP is no joke. Good conversation as well, especially coming from me, who is typically quiet and doesn't say much during a cut. Recommended for anyone, but 100% if you live in the area as I believe they have the best prices around the Italian Market/Washington Square.
I had a great experience at Essex. My stylist Riad, understood exactly what I was looking for and took his time with the details, which I have often found hard with my wavy/curly hair. Had a great chat as well, making the experience overall awesome! Will definitely be coming back here. Nice place, great location and reasonable price.
Best haircut in Philly! Had such a great cut and experience at Essex. From the free coffee, the good music, great conversation, and most importantly the haircut. My barber Lou took the time to get me right for an interview tomorrow, and the owner James was extremely friendly. We talked about Korean movies and many different things. They take care of the little details here and I will definitely be back for my next cut. Thank you!
