I submitted two films and paid submission fees to the Women’s Film Festival, which is operated by Excelsior Studios. The festival was advertised as a two-day, in-person event with a listed venue. Over time, key details changed repeatedly, including notification dates, event dates, and the status of the in-person festival, without clear communication to submitters. I later learned that the in-person festival would not occur and that no films would be screened, with only a brief online awards stream taking place instead. When I requested clarification, the responses I received were inconsistent and unprofessional, and I had to persist to get clear answers. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage filmmakers to verify event details carefully before submitting work or paying fees.

Laura Ann Heaton Gray was contracted to do the photography for my wedding in May 2024. I paid in full and on time, she shows up to the wedding and everything is running smoothly. I even gave a tip after the wedding. Fast forward about a month, no pictures so I try to reach out and get ignored. Fast forward even more to current day and I still do not have my wedding pictures. I have tried every form of communication with no response. This company has scammed my wife and I out of priceless photos. This company should be avoided at all costs unless you want to get scammed.
