This is a peculiar review, as I have never gone to Fillmore Bakeshop, nor do I even live anywhere near it; I actually live in Puerto Rico. But one of my best friends lives in San Francisco and wanted something special for his birthday cake this year. He's never been knowledgeable about baking but got into it when we binged the baking competition show Crime Scene Kitchen together, so I did my research on good bakeries near his home and found out about Fillmore. I decided to contact Fillmore Bakeshop myself despite living so far away, to see if something could be done for my friend's birthday, and we quickly came to a consensus, so I sent the money to my friend so he could purchase the agreed upon birthday cake. My friend's birthday was a few days ago, and he had nothing but praise for Fillmore's atmosphere, service, and especially the cake. Not only was the cake lovely to look at, he and his loved ones raved about the flavor, they were absolutely delighted. What's more, the employee who spoke with me via e-mail exchanges was kind, helpful, pleasant and professional, which just made the whole process of getting a special birthday cake for my friend all the better. I cannot praise the customer service enough, especially for living so far away from their shop. I can safely say that my friend and I will be sure to get more special treats from Fillmore Bakeshop in the future.
I'm a local. This is a great local bakery that offers an amazing variety of delicious baked goods with something to please everyone in the family. I also appreciate that I've been visiting the bakery for years and the same friendly and happy staff are there. This tells me that the owner treats her team well and that the team loves their work. I hope the city government does everything it can to keep businesses like this in the city.
Only got the pastrami croissant with cornichons (one inside and one staked on top, so yes, technically plural, lol). It was good but not worth the price. Took it to go, so I can’t speak to the full experience of dining in, but it looked clean, quiet, and easy to grab a seat and table around 10am on a Tuesday.
Cutest bakery with an old style vibe and calm music. The goat cheese and tomato jam danish is so good I had two of them.
Everything is homemade, and I absolutely love this place! It's a nice, quiet spot to kick off your morning with a delicious coffee or latte ❤️❤️. This local bakery shop offers the best cinnamon roll around!
