We ordered a three tier birthday cake. It was sooo good ! The frosting was thick and tasty, the filling between layers was excellent.
This is a tiny bakery storefront off McCarran, in the shopping center next to Dahlia's and sort of close to Coffeebar NW. There's a cash register, small display case, and a drink case plus some candles for sale, and that's it -- not a sit-down bakery. I've only had the basque cheesecakes here of different flavors, both larger ones to take away for a dinner party and individual-size cakes. Heads up: these are not inexpensive cakes at all, but it's just how it goes these days to make a cake with high-quality ingredients. Also one serving does not have to be that large, because these are very rich. Neither the richness of the cake nor my inability to digest dairy easily stopped me from eating way too much! Lots of compliments from guests as well. The texture of these cakes is incredible. They also freeze well. I have one in my freezer as a standby dessert for any occasion. Service is warm and friendly. I recommend this place for cakes that are a step above!
My dear friend ordered me a carrot cake from Flour for my birthday this year. It was beautiful and delicious! I loved the cream cheese frosting. A party of 22 all got a slice, plus the front and back of house at the restaurant. It also was great with coffee the next morning. I would order again and look forward to trying some other flavors.
