Great gym! Can get busy during the after work rush at 5:00 till 8:00 p.m. they have recently undergone a refurbishment of the premises and have upgraded the lighting. However, I do find the new lighting to be too bright when you're under it, but overall it makes the whole gym much darker, not really a fan. This gym would be five stars if it had water drinking station facilities and a sauna / steam room.
Absolutely unreal gym. Joined up a few weeks ago and the place has become my second home. The staff are amazing! I’ve never felt more welcomed as I have here. The team can’t seem to do enough for you. They are always polite and ready to help or just have a chat. The equipment is unreal, extremely well maintained and clean. The place is spotless and you see the cleaners and staff constantly monitoring the gym floor. For me as a 20 year gym veteran, this has to be the best gym in Birmingham. So glad I found this place!
Gym was good before and improvements were made but maintenance is shocking. The men’s and women’s bathrooms need serious improving. The men’s cubicles don’t even have basic privacy. No locks or handles on any of the doors at all. When machines break they usually take ages to get fixed. The nautilus lat row machine took months to repairs. The seated hamstring machine has been fixed but incorrectly. If you drop weights you get a warning which is understandable but should be fair for all. It’s not fair to pick and choose who gets a warning and who doesn’t. Members have been asking for a water fountain for months / over a year. Still no sign. We understand it’s a business and water bottles bring in money but a water fountain is a basic need. The owners are nice guys but it feels as though they have been concentrating more on the new Foundry gyms which have been opened/opening and less priority on the Kings Heath branch.
Just a day visit whilst in area, enjoyed my session, the equipment are nice compared to the matrix of PureGym I usually go to. Friendly staff and friendly members using the gym. No issues during my visit.
Simply on 1 way to describe this gym ELITE!! Everything is 10/10 from staff to Environment to cleanliness & ending with the TOP equipment is fantastic! I had previously been with my last gym for 5 years so didn’t know what to expect coming into a brand new gym but how friendly everyone is made the transition such an easier process. 1 really nice thing is Jon and Nathan the gym owners are always present and interactive with the gym members on the floor. No matter what your goals are this is certainly the best gym in the local area!!!!
