Nate has been preparing our tax returns since 2017 and has always done a great job for us. He gives us good advice and explains everything. Watching him grow his business from 2 people to his thriving diversified company has been a joy.
I hired Freedom to do my payroll. I'm still cleaning that mess up. I sent them everything Aubry asked for and they never sent any taxes to the IRS, city, state, job and family services. I moved to Paycor and they set me up within a week and helped fix the incorrect payroll that was done for 2 months with Freedom. Nate did my personal returns for a year and when I asked for a digital copy he replied back with "i didn't do your taxes." I found a copy of a copy and sent it back to him for his records. Total waste of time and I have another CPA reviewing those returns.
My wife and I usually do our taxes ourselves, but they were growing more complicated as our business grew, so we decided it would be easier for a professional to do it. They made numerous egregious errors, and at the appointment I pointed out the refund seemed far from our expectations. I was quickly dismissed without further consideration, and we went home to check them. They were incorrect in multiple areas, and we reached out to have them corrected. We had to submit amended taxes, and freedom tax stated they would automatically pull the difference from our account. So we were forced to leave thousands in that account without any idea when it would pull. We reached out multiple times, and they said to keep waiting. Instead, in December, we got a bill from the IRS for the difference with interest and fees added. It has been a headache dealing with it and more work than just doing taxes ourselves, as we had to do them anyways to find all of the mistakes they made.
I love Nate at Freedom tax. He's done mine and my spouses returns the last 3 years. Not only his he smart and fast, but he's a great guy as well. I won't be going anywhere else as long as he's in business. 👍👍👍
I was in search of a new place to do my taxes so I picked this place based on reviews and figured worst case I'll try a new place next year. From my first phone call to make the appointment I had a good feeling. The staff on the phone was not rushed, but took their time to give me directions and work with the days/times I needed. They also did a reminder call a few days before which I always appreciate. On the day of we arrived early and were promptly taken in. He had a sweet big screen set up where after he did the taxes he put it up on the big screen as he walked us through the different deductions we got and our final number. The best part I totally goofed on my last year taxes and didn't realize I had about a grand the government still owed us and since we had time in this session he fixed that for me too! I didn't even have to set up another appointment and come back. Professional, timely, and affordable. We'll be back!
