Cannot thank David and the team here enough! One for making the most amazing cupcakes we have ever eaten but also for david going above and beyond and hand delivering them to the hotel in advance of our arrival as a surprise birthday gift for my partner who's birthday we were celebrating on our trip! 10 out of 10!
French village range came to my town recently and it’s a bit more expensive than other bakery items but their brownie trays, caramel squares, scones etc and new items are delicious.
Working with French Village was such a breeze and our cake was absolutely delicious! It turned out exactly as we envisioned and exceeded our expectations. We ordered a chocolate sponge with vanilla buttercream and salted caramel drizzle inside and it was absolutely heavenly. The only small thing to note is that the writing on top was a little off center, which made my husband and me laugh. If you are a perfectionist, this might be something to keep in mind, though it could have just been an odd day for the decorator. For us, the off-center writing was perfectly charming and didn’t bother us at all. Our elopement was on a Friday and we left Sunday morning, so we were worried the cake wouldn’t get completely eaten in the short time we had, but our family devoured it! We could not have been happier with our cake!
The bakery is hidden away on a trading estate, but take nothing away from the patisserie it produces. They produced a super cake for my daughters wedding.
Absolutely stunning birthday cake, made exactly how I requested it. Such attention to detail and just delicious, it was perfect! (FAO: edible daisies added by myself, not included in order)
