Kate was recommended to me by a friend after a long period of frustration with knee pain that would not resolve. After not making much progress with previous PT, it was a relief to work Kate, who quickly developed a plan for me. She was extremely thorough in her assessment, explained everything in a way I could understand, and was so personable and kind. I remember thinking “wow, I don’t think any provider has ever spend this much time trying to rule things out and actually determine what is going on.” I’d highly recommend her to anyone!
Kate is the absolute best! I highly recommend her services; she (and you!) are so worth the investment. I reached out to Kate when I wanted to begin working out again postpartum, and I wanted to make sure I eased into it safely. Kate is incredibly knowledgeable and was able to help me gain my strength back and begin working out again without any pain or injuries.
Working with Kate was a great investment in my health. As a PT myself, I thought I could manage my postpartum symptoms myself, but just wasn’t able to get there alone. Kate was able to apply my history of chronic hip and back pain to my new onset of pregnancy and postpartum symptoms and provide clarity on the root cause of these issues. She helped me focus on just a few exercises and modifications at a time so that I had a manageable list of things to focus on, and shortly after we started working together, I was already feeling better. I appreciated that Kate made my PT journey a team approach, always listening to my experiences and providing her expertise, being willing to switch things up if something wasn’t helping, while holding me accountable for maintaining consistency. Going to a private practice therapist is again, an investment, but the personalized care Kate provided, her willingness to adjust frequency and length of visits to meet my budget, and the successful outcomes I’ve experienced made it an invaluable experience. I will be going back to Kate in the future for any orthopedic and pelvic health issues that arise.
I worked with Kate after pelvic surgery and had a great experience with her. I had a couple of minor concerns regarding how things were feeling as I returned to weight lifting and HIIT post surgery and Kate was able to work with me to identify the muscles that needed some work to improve my functional strength. I actually reached out to her on social media before I was cleared for return to exercise - she was advertising a workshop at the time - and though I was not quite ready to start PT at that time she followed up with me a few weeks later and we talked about options. I appreciated her follow through and willingness to work with me on my timeline! My course of treatment was ultimately a set of simple exercises that have made a world of difference in how I feel in just a few short weeks. I feel well equipped to continue on my healing path armed with the tools Kate shared with me in just a few sessions together. More importantly, I also learned so much about how different muscle groups influence each other and have an impact on things like bladder function, etc. This is not something I would have been able to figure out on my own! Kate is friendly and approachable and does a great job explaining what she’s doing and why she’s doing it, and that extends to the “homework” she assigns. I felt welcome in her practice from the moment I stepped into her office. She took my concerns seriously and I appreciate her advocacy for this often overlooked piece of women’s health care. If you are considering pelvic floor PT, I highly recommend it, and especially recommend Kate as a practitioner. She is terrific!
