Wasn’t sure what I was signing up for when I did, but Joe made the class worth every dollar. He has a great way of connecting with the students that made us eager to learn. The learning environment makes you feel like you’re already at a bar serving drinks, the bottles all with labels to make you feel like you’re pouring the real thing. Can’t recommend these guys enough.

I was considering starting to bartend but really wanted a good understanding going forward on the job. I decided to take a two-week course at Gaslamp Bartending school. Nino did most of the in class work which was helpful and as I always do, I took lots of notes. Joe was our instructor in the bar training area and he was absolutely incredible. I loved getting to learn from him, and there were some recipes I couldn't seem to get memorized. Joe helped me figure out ways to remember them, and gave me the confidence to put my book away and trust in myself. What was even more incredible was Joe’s patience with not just me but everyone in the class. He gave us all real world knowledge that I found very important and practical. When we did the Live Service Training I was definitely a little nervous, however we were lucky enough to have Joe with us. He was awesome and made me and others feel very comfortable considering it was an insane evening of patrons ordering drinks. I feel ready to go out there and get a job, knowing that I have been trained by the best. If you are lucky enough to get Joe, he literally goes above and beyond to give you the tools to succeed not just in bartending but his advice transcends into all areas of life. Amazing energy, you can tell he really cares about your success. Thank you Joe!!! Thank you for everything GBS, I am ready to take on the bartending scene with confidence, I have my first bartender interview Friday and I’m pumped.

For starters let me just say taking this course will forever be one of the BEST decisions I’ve ever made. Nino from the start was extremely informative and supportive. He was able to work with me through my busy schedule and made sure his students were prepared for his course. I had no experience in the industry (as I had just turned 21) and this course taught me EVERYTHING I needed to know and much more. Nino truly cares for his students success and learning. It’s really difficult to find business owners like him nowadays, he’s not in it for the money he’s there to create the best of the best. The classroom is the perfect learning environment, as it is set up as an actual mock bar with all the other fun features. You get more than enough practice and a ton of knowledge in a fun, enjoyable way. I also had Ely as an instructor and he without a doubt is great at teaching discipline and everything there is to know about bartending. I created a strong bond with my classmates which was a plus I never expected prior to joining. After graduating, Nino and Ely continued to help me by offering an additional class to make sure I was set and even got me a job interview. Last but not least this course is extremely affordable. They offer a payment plan if you don’t want to pay in full (this is what I did) and it was an extremely easy process. If you’re looking into joining the industry and don’t know where to start THIS IS THE PLACE TO START. Nino and Ely I admire how dedicated you guys are to the industry and your students. I’ve referred so many of my friends to you guys and I’ll continue to do so. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and the unforgettable experience!

Nino and Eric exhibits extensive knowledge in the business. They prepare you with bartending 101 alongside the ins and outs of the hospitality industry. Very fun atmosphere with great teachers! I learned a lot and do not regret anything.
