Unfortunately we could not goto the Gateway Arch due to the shutdown which meant the arch was closed. Instead we decided to take a river cruise. The river is a little disappointing with banks of the river appearing run down. However some of the views of the arc and the bridges are good.

We went on the dinner cruise 730 pm - 930pm. It was amazing. The food was good and the drink selection was wide with alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. They had a live band with a great variety of music genres sang in a piano blues vibe. The seating was a little to close together but what can you expect on a boat. After dinner you can go anywhere on the decks and the views are amazing. You need to get there at least 30 45 minutes before your ticket time. Finding the dock can prove challenging but manageable. I wouldn't recommend for a family with small children as it is a fine dining experience. My 12 yo got antsy waiting for his food but after we ate he had the best time exploring the ship and seeing the sights. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would do it again. Its a 2 hour cruise and the meal from start to finish takes about 45 min to an hour so plenty of time to explore after. The price per person is from 65 to 100 I would say depending on if you get drinks or not. The parking pass was I think 10 dollars. The parking is at a terrible slope like parking sideways on a boat dock. Its not a place for wheelchairs. I would highly recommend for the experience.

We had a really nice time on the Riverboat Cruise. The tour lasted a little over an hour and was both relaxing and informative. The narration provided great insights into the area’s history, and we enjoyed views of historic buildings, unique bridges, and of course, a stunning perspective of the Gateway Arch from the water. The boat itself was charming, especially watching the paddle wheel churn through the Mississippi as we cruised along. We made the most of the sunny weather by lounging on the upper deck, drinks in hand from the onboard bar—definitely a nice touch! If you're already visiting the Arch or taking a helicopter tour, I highly recommend adding this cruise to your itinerary. It’s a laid-back, scenic experience that rounds out the day perfectly.

We are an elderly couple and we took the cruise on a Saturday morning. We got there early, so we were able to get great seats aboard the riverboat. The ride itself was smooth, easy, relaxing. The information was kind of interesting. We saw barges and bridges. There was food and drink, but we didn't have any.

We took a relaxing one-hour river cruise as an add-on to our arch tram ticket. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed getting a different perspective of the city and learning more about the Mississippi River of today. The boat ride was very smooth. While you don't see too much besides the downtown area and adjacent industrial facilities it was still a great experience.
