I was in Dallas for a wedding and Gayla hair designs where top notch in communication and getting hair stylist ready for the hair styles I chose for myself and my 4 year old.l even before we got there. Nina who did my 4 year olds hair was so sweet and made my girl very comfortable by offering her books, juice and letting her know about the hair dryer , talking to her. Bernard did my braids and it absolutely looked gorgeous.The hair styles stayed intact till end of night after wedding, reception,two outfit changes and all while taking care of two kids under 5. Gayla hair designs was also very accommodating in buying some last minute hair accessories and some fresh flowers for us. They also did an updo for my mother in law and they worked with her concept as well. Ty so much and I will definitely recommend this studio for special occasion hair styling.
My experience has been wonderful for the last 2 years since I first stepped inside Gayla's. Gayla (the owner) is extremely charismatic, will work with you and consult your color and your style and give you a trial run before you commit. She will take the time (even when you are working with other hair dressers) to talk through your vision and provide her expertise. She will stay an extra hour, or even skin her lunch if it means she gets to work with her clients. Gayla and the team adds color/ style to their system so you have that information in the system. They will go the extra mile by providing head massages and adding hair treatments as needed. I'm so happy with Gayla's hair design and her whole team. I 100% recommend coming for their service and their wonderful stylists!
I have been seeing Gayla for several years I believe close to a decade at this point. I want to fully express how amazing of an experience it is visiting her salon. The staff is always very accommodating and kind. I personally see Gayla specifically and can attest to her talent, she is an expert in her craft. She has always gone out of her way to assist me with appointments and I am always highly impressed with her amazing work. I highly recommend the staff and this location for your hair care needs. They offer a huge variety of services, I took my son here for his very first haircut. My husband even visits for a more high end men’s haircut (at a very competitive price) for special occasions. Looking forward to working with her salon for many years to come.
Absolutely a great experience here! This salon has a true identity. They offer online booking, walk-ins when they can, and everything from glamour make-up sessions to simple shampoo and blow-dry to updos, cuts, color, perms, and on! They are here to help you look and feel the best you can be. My experience is extra special because on my most recent visit, I was wearing crummy old jeans and a faded sweatshirt, but popped in to see if maybe they could do a quick shampoo and dry. They could, and on a Monday! I was treated as nicely as if I had walked in wearing everything designer. Here I was, Madame Chez Target, so to speak, and they treated me like Miss Dior. Amazing! I was able to get freshened up after a long grueling day at home dealing with workers fixing problems at our house. It was so incredible to be able to relax and stop fussing, to just be taken care of. Additionally, I have to mention that neither the shampoo nor the blow dry caused me any pain. I am very tender-headed, so this was a beautiful surprise. At the reception desk when it was time to pay, everything was straightforward and easy. If you are like me and feel kind of "in the clouds" after a special treat like this, it helps that there is no math to do. Click on the payment, click on what you want to tip, and get an email or text receipt. No paper to lose, no mood-crushing arithmetic. But that's not all! They also mention what else they can do for you as you're completing your visit. This was really unusual, at least to me. It's like, "Would you care for crême brulée?" after a nice meal. They put the dessert on salon services by saying, "Would you like to book holiday makeup for any upcoming events?" Why yes! Yes I would! How thoughtful! It is like asking you how they can assist you in feeling more confident. Honey, I need it! Thank you! What a great salon. Relaxing, focused on self-care and renewal for your weary spirit, if need be. Just wonderful! Helpful to know: Parking is available in front of the salon, or more is available on the south side. There are many other shops in this plaza and across the street, so if you need to run errands before or after an appointment, it is super convenient.
I can’t recommend Gayla Hair Designs enough! I had a toner and a Japanese head spa appointment with Bernardo, and it was truly the most relaxing experience of my life. Bernardo was absolutely amazing—he listened to exactly what I wanted for my hair and made me feel so comfortable the entire time. The toner left my hair beautifully refreshed and shiny. But the real highlight was the Japanese head spa—pure bliss! The soothing massage and calming aromas melted away all my stress. I left feeling rejuvenated, with my hair and scalp looking and feeling their best. If you’re looking for a little escape and gorgeous hair, ask for Bernardo at Gayla Hair Designs!
